''Metal Lords'' is a 2022 American teen comedy-drama film written by D. B. Weiss and directed by Peter Sollett. Its story follows two high school best friends and metal music lovers, Hunter and Kevin, who set out to start a metal band, against societal norms. The film was released on Netflix on April 8, 2022. Plot Metalhead Hunter Sylvester jams with his best friend, the insecure Kevin Schlieb, who does not know quite well how to play a whole drum set because he only plays a single drum in the school's marching band. During one of the marching band practices, Kevin witnesses sensitive Scottish student Emily having a full meltdown and quitting the band because of her lack of skills with the clarinet. Later that day, Kevin drags Hunter to a party at Clay Moss' house and tries to be a normal kid while Hunter feels misplaced. Peter Sollett
Peter Sollett (born January 1, 1976) is an American film director and screenwriter known for his feature films '' Raising Victor Vargas'' (2002) and ''Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist'' (2008). Early life Sollett was born in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, New York. He grew up in Bensonhurst in an Italian, Jewish neighborhood where he claims his childhood "was spent on one side of the street" because of racial tensions. His father is a newspaper photographer, which he says inspired him to pick up a camera. Career Sollett's first film was '' Five Feet High and Rising'', a 26-minute short film about the growth and coming-of-age of teenager Victor Vargas. Metacritic is a website that review aggregator, aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations. It is regarded as the foremost online review aggregation site for the video game industry. Revolution Hall
Revolution Hall is a music venue in the Buckman neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. It is located within the former Washington High School, and was originally constructed as the school's auditorium. The auditorium was in use from the school's opening in 1924 to its closure in 1981, and was unused until February 2015. As part of a larger redevelopment that saw the school converted into office and retail space, the auditorium was renovated into a music venue. During construction, two bars and a roof deck were added, but the original wooden seats were preserved. The venue officially opened on April 17, 2015, with a concert by Neko Case. Parkrose High School is a public high school in Portland, Oregon, United States. It is the only high school in the Parkrose School District. Academics In 2008, 72% of the school's seniors received a high school diploma. Of 231 students, 167 graduated, 27 dropped out, ten received a Oregon modified high school diploma, modified diploma, and 27 were still in high school the following year.
