''Mesmerised'' is an Australian television series involving hypnotist Peter Powers traveling around Australia with actors and volunteers willing to be hypnotised by Powers and made to perform amusing and often embarrassing acts. The series was produced for the Seven Network by Endemol Australia Endemol Australia, formerly known as Southern Star Group, Southern Star Productions, Southern Star/Hanna-Barbera Australia and Taft-Hardie Group Pty Ltd, was Australia's largest independent television production and distribution group. Peter Powers
Peter Powers is a British television personality and hypnotist. He is well known in Australia for his appearances on the '' Footy Show''. Career Powers has made several TV shows; '' The Power of One'', which is filmed in Australia, and ''Street Hypnosis'' which was filmed in the UK. He made five one-hour TV specials for UK's Channel 5, entitled ''The Naughty, Naughty Hypnoshow'' and recorded two one-hour TV specials for Network 9 in Australia in which celebrities were hypnotised. Standard-definition television (SDTV, SD, often shortened to standard definition) is a television system which uses a resolution that is not considered to be either high or enhanced definition. 'The Power of One' was an Australian television series which ran for two seasons between 2006 and 2008 and featured hypnotist Peter Powers hypnotising "subjects" and forcing them to perform amusing and often embarrassing acts. Content The hypnotism in the show usually aims for comedy rather than exhibiting the hypnotist's skill. TV Tonight is an Australian-based website which features reviews, news and programming information related to television in Australia as well as OzTAM ratings information. The site was started by television critic David Knox in 2007 after listeners of his radio programs asked him for information they had missed.
