Merete Armand (8 June 1955 – 22 January 2017) was a Norwegian actress. Life She was born in Bergen, a daughter of actor Eilif Armand, and sister of actors Gisken Armand and Frøydis Armand. She was educated at the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre. She was assigned with the theatres Sogn og Fjordane Teater, Telemark Teater, Trøndelag Teater, Riksteatret and Den Nationale Scene Den Nationale Scene ( en, National Theater) is the largest theatre in Bergen, Norway. Den Nationale Scene ( en, National Theater) is the largest theatre in Bergen, Norway. Den Nationale Scene is also one of the oldest permanent theatres in Norway. History Opened under the name '' Det Norske Theater'' in 1850, the theatre has roots dating back to its founding on the initiative of the Norwegian violinist Ole Bull. The theatre was created to develop Norwegian playwrights. Trøndelag Teater is a large theater in the city of Trondheim, in Trøndelag county, Norway. Trøndelag Teater stages large-scale dance and musical performances. History Originally built in 1816, the theater is the oldest stage in Scandinavia in continuous use.
