Memorial Day (1983 Film)
''Memorial Day'' is a 1983 American made-for-television war drama film directed by Joseph Sargent and starring Mike Farrell, Robert Walden, Danny Glover and Shelley Fabares. It originally premiered November 27, 1983 on CBS. Plot Mike Farrell stars as an attorney who finds himself at the center of a surprise reunion with the veterans of his platoon from the Vietnam War, including Robert Walden and Edward Herrmann. The reunion stirs up painful memories and disturbing secrets for all involved. Joseph Sargent
Joseph Sargent (born Giuseppe Danielle Sorgente; July 22, 1925 – December 22, 2014) was an American film director. Though he directed many television movies, his best known feature-length works were arguably the action movie '' White Lightning'' starring Burt Reynolds, the biopic '' MacArthur'' starring Gregory Peck, and the horror anthology ''Nightmares''. His most popular feature film was the subway thriller '' The Taking of Pelham One Two Three''. Sargent won four Emmy Awards over his career. He is the father of voice actress Lia Sargent. Life and career Sargent was born Giuseppe Danielle Sorgente in Jersey City, New Jersey, the son of Italians Maria (née Noviello) and Domenico Sorgente. Jonathan Goldsmith (born September 26, 1938) is an American character actor. He began his career on the New York stage, then started a career in film and television. He appeared in several TV shows from the 1960s to the 1990s. He is best known for appearing in television commercials for Dos Equis beer, from 2006 to 2016, as the character The Most Interesting Man in the World. Early years Goldsmith was born on September 26, 1938, in the Bronx. His parents were both Jewish, his mother a model and his father a gym teacher. Goldsmith graduated from Boston University in 1958, after which he pursued an acting career. Career Jonathan has made over 350 television appearances in his career. Robert Broyles
Robert Houston Broyles (January 20, 1933 - February 12, 2011) was an American character actor, drama teacher, theatre director, and writer. He was sometimes billed as Bob Broyles or Bobby Broyles. Early life Broyles was born in Sparta, Tennessee, on January 20, 1933. He grew up in White County, Tennessee. His parents were Elise A. Bennette and Robert Lee Broyles Jr. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1952 to 1956. He then attended Ohio State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1960. From 1963 to 1967, he was a drama coach in Hollywood. He made his first television appearance in 1964 on Bonanza in the episode "The Cheating Game" as Tom, one of the ranch hands.
