Proceeds from the Mid-Atlantic Championship benefited thSalute Military Golf Association From 2007 to 2011, it was played as the Melwood Prince George's County Open. Casey Wittenberg
Casey Wittenberg (born November 30, 1984) is an American professional golfer who had a successful amateur career. Wittenberg was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He played collegiately at Oklahoma State University. He lost to Nick Flanagan in the finals of the 2003 U.S. Amateur. In 2004, he finished 13th at the Masters Tournament, the lowest amateur finish in 41 years. He was the only player in the field to improve his score each round. Additionally, he registered the lowest Sunday back 9 score (31) of any amateur in Masters history. At the 2004 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills, he shot a four round total of 296, which was the second best of any amateur in the tournament that year. Jeff Klauk
Jeffrey Michael Klauk (; born November 28, 1977) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour and the Web.com Tour. Amateur career Klauk was born in Boynton Beach, Florida. He played golf at Nease High School. He played collegiately at Florida Southern College where his team won the NCAA Division II Championship three times (1998–2000) and he won the individual title in 2000. He also played on the 2000 Palmer Cup team. He won the Southeastern Amateur in 1998 and 1999. Professional career Klauk turned professional in 2000. Robert Damron
Robert Douglas Damron (born October 27, 1972) is an American professional golfer, who has played on the PGA Tour. He is a studio analyst for the Golf Channel. Damron was born in Pikeville, Kentucky and raised there and later in Orlando, Florida after his father, a wealthy Kentucky coal magnate, moved the family to Bay Hill. Damron had the benefit of some early advice about golf from Bay Hill neighbor Arnold Palmer. He attended Orlando's Dr. Phillips High School graduating in 1990. Damron later attended the University of Central Florida in Orlando from 1991 to 1994, where he was a distinguished member of the golf team, earning All-American honors three times. Justin Bolli (born March 18, 1976) is an American professional golfer. who has played on the PGA Tour and the Web.com Tour. Bolli was born in Portland, Oregon. Bolli started playing on the Nationwide Tour (now Web.com Tour) full-time in 2004 and moved up to the PGA Tour in 2005. In his rookie season on the PGA Tour, he only made 9 of 24 cuts with his best finish being tied for 17th at the Southern Farm Bureau Classic. He moved back to the Nationwide Tour in 2006. Mathias Grönberg
Mathias David Grönberg (born 12 March 1970) is a Swedish professional golfer who has played on the European Tour, PGA Tour, and their second-tier tours. Amateur career Grönberg was born in Stockholm, Sweden. He won the Swedish Boys Championship in 1988 and the British Youths Open Amateur Championship in 1990. Jin Park (born 12 October 1979) is a South Korean professional golfer. Park was born in Seoul, South Korea. He attended Arizona State University where he earned a degree in political science. Franklin Ray Lickliter II (born July 28, 1969) is an American professional golfer. He featured in the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking, going as high as 41st in 2001. Early life Lickliter was born in Middletown, Ohio, adjacent to his hometown of Franklin, Ohio. Lickliter is a 1987 graduate of Franklin High School and a 1991 graduate of nearby Wright State University. Professional career Lickliter turned professional in 1991. Tommy Dale Gainey (born August 13, 1975), also known as "Two Gloves", is an American professional golfer on the PGA Tour. Early life and education Gainey was born in Darlington, South Carolina. He attended the Central Carolina Technical College, studying industrial maintenance, and graduated in 1999. Before becoming a professional golfer, he worked on an assembly line in South Carolina, wrapping insulation around hot water heaters for A.O. Smith Corporation.
