Melal Orchestra
The Melal Orchestra ( fa, ارکستر ملل, Orkestre Melal, ) is an orchestra founded in 2007 by Peyman Soltani in order to perform pieces of ancient Iranian musical heritage at twelve historical monuments around the world. This orchestra that has been called the Persepolis Orchestra has benefited from the spiritual support of Iran cultural heritage organization, UNESCO National Commission and ICOM national committee. However, due to changes in the policy and management of cultural heritage and its integration with tourism organizations in 2008, the name of the orchestra has been changed to Melal Orchestra and it started its activity, with 130 members, at the same year. The main goal of the orchestra is to spread empathy, companionship, and the juxtaposition of cultures, with the slogan of peace and friendship between nations. Peyman Soltani
Peyman Soltani ( fa, پیمان سلطانی, ''Peymân Soltâni''; born 17 January 1971 in Iran) is a Persian composer, orchestra conductor, instrumentalist and critic. He is currently living in Tehran. Life He started learning music and painting in workshops of national TV and Radio of Iran and also in the free classes offered by the Ministry of Culture and Arts in 1977. He began his primary education in Aryamehr School in Kerman in 1979. At 16 years of age, he came to Tehran to study graphics. Then he went to Armenia to continue his graduate studies in music composition. Music has always been the pillar of his life. Tehran Symphony Orchestra
The Tehran Symphony Orchestra (TSO, fa, ارکستر سمفونیک تهران), founded in 1933, is Iran's oldest and largest symphony orchestra. It was founded as the ''Municipality Symphony Orchestra'' by Gholamhossein Minbashian, before entering its modern form under Parviz Mahmoud in 1946. In the years that followed, conductors such as Rubik (Ruben) Gregorian, Morteza Hannaneh, Haymo Taeuber, Heshmat Sanjari, and Farhad Meshkat took over as the conductors of the Orchestra. After the 1979 Revolution, many musicians of the TSO emigrated to Europe and the US. For some years Heshmat Sanjari and then Fereydoun Nasseri were the conductors. Iran's National Orchestra
Iran's National Orchestra ( fa, ارکستر ملی ایران) is a national orchestra of Iran, which was founded in 1998 under the conduction of Farhad Fakhreddini. The orchestra had been formed by Persian traditional instruments, strings and woodwind instruments. During its history, INO was focused on Persian composers compositions. In the Orchestra's debut concert at Roodaki Great Hall in Tehran, works by Ali Tajvidi, Farhad Fakhreddini and Hossein Alizadeh were performed and Mohammad Reza Shajarian was the singer. The Iran National Orchestra also performed outside of Iran, in Switzerland and Kuwait. The Orchestra was dissolved in October 2012, reportedly because of financial problems. Bakhtiari People
The Bakhtiari (also spelled Bakhtiyari; fa, بختیاری) are a Lur tribe from Iran. They speak the Bakhtiari dialect of the Luri language. Bakhtiaris primarily inhabit Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari and eastern Khuzestan, Lorestan, Bushehr, and Isfahan provinces. Bakhtiari tribes have an especially large population concentration in the cities of Masjed Soleyman, Izeh, Shahr-e Kord, and Andika, and the surrounding villages.
