Meja Örtengren
Meja Örtengren (born 3 January 2005) is a Swedish amateur golfer. In 2022, 17 years old, she was part of the Swedish team winning the Espirito Santo Trophy and was tied individual leader. During 2022, she also captured her first win in a professional tournament, the Swedish PGA Championship. Amateur career Örtengren started playing golf at age 4 and was a licensed player by 7. She started competing at age 10 and played in her first Swedish Golf Tour event at 14, the Hoya Ladies Open at Flommen Golf Club, where she held the lead after round one. Örtengren joined the National Team and played in the 2019 and 2020 European Young Masters. She was part of the Swedish team earning the silver medal at the 2020 European Girls' Team Championship at Hrubá Borša, Slovakia. In 2021, she won the German Girls Open and the Annika Invitational Europe, both qualifying events for the Junior Solheim Cup. Sofie Bringner (born 14 July 1997) is a Swedish professional golfer. She won the 2021 Swedish Matchplay Championship and finished fifth in the 2021 LET Access Series rankings to secure Ladies European Tour membership for 2022. Career Bringner grew up in Henån, Bohuslän and started competing in golf at age 12. In 2015, she had a successful season and won four junior tournaments, which helped her qualify for the Annika Invitational Europe. She graduated from Sinclairgymnasiet in Uddevalla in 2016 and switched clubs from her local Orust Golf Club to train at Hills Golf Club in Gothenburg, deciding to forego the U.S. college path. 2023 European Ladies' Team Championship
The 2023 European Ladies' Team Championship took place 11–15 July at Tawast Golf & Country Club in Hämeenlinna, Finland. It was the 40th women's golf amateur European Ladies' Team Championship. Team Spain won the championship. Venue The hosting course is situated in Hämeenlinna (Tawastehus in Swedish) in southern Finland about 100 kilometers north of capital city Helsinki. The course, surrounded by woodland and a lake, was designed by architect Reijo Hillberg. Course layout Format Each team consisted of six players. On the first two days each player played 18 holes of stroke play each day. The lowest five scores from each team's six players counted to the team total each day. Rose Zhang (born May 24, 2003) is an American amateur golfer. She won the 2020 U.S. Women's Amateur and the 2022 NCAA Division I Championship. She competed in the 2019 U.S. Women's Open and was on the gold medal team at the 2019 Pan American Games. Personal life Zhang was born in Arcadia, California and resides in Irvine, California. Helen Briem (born 12 August 2005) is a German amateur golfer. She has won the 2021 European Young Masters, the 2022 European Nations Cup – Copa Sotogrande and was medalist at the 2022 Espirito Santo Trophy, the Women's World Amateur Team Championships. Louise Rydqvist (born 18 July 2001) is a Swedish amateur golfer. In 2022, she won the Espirito Santo Trophy and was runner-up at The Womens Amateur Championship. Karin Ingrid Andrea Lindblad (born 11 April 2000) is a Swedish amateur golfer. She won the 2021 European Ladies Amateur.
