Mehndi (1983 Film)
''Mehndi'' is a 1983 Bollywood drama film, directed by Asit Sen. It stars Vinod Mehra, Bindiya, Raj Babbar. Dialogues were written by V.K. Sharma . Plot Mehndi is a drama film on the life of an Indian Army Official, on the battlefield he gets injured and fell in love with a common girl who acts as a nurse at army tents. However after being healthy , he joins a new mission and when he returns to his girlfriend whom he was promised to marry, he found his love interest was molested and murdered which leaving him heartbroken. His best friend was also missing in war. His life becomes miserable when he find that he after married a girl who is the lover of his best friend who was missing in war. Vinod Mehra
Vinod Mehra (13 February 1945 – 30 October 1990) was an Indian actor in Bollywood, Indian films. He started out as a child actor in the late 1950s before starting his film career as an adult in 1971. He acted in over 100 films from the 1970s through to his death at the age of 45 in 1990. He was also the producer and director of the film ''Gurudev (film), Gurudev'' which was released 3 years after his death. Career Mehra made his debut in the 1958 film ''Raagini (1958 film), Raagini'' as a child artist playing the younger version of the character played by Kishore Kumar. After playing a few more minor roles as a child, he started his film career as an adult in 1971 with ''Ek Thi Reeta'', a smash hit based on the English play, ''A Girl Called Rita'', along with Tanuja. Raj Babbar (born 23 June 1952) is an Indian Hindi and Punjabi film actor and politician belonging to Indian National Congress. three-time member of the Lok Sabha and a two-time member of the Upper House of the Indian Parliament. He was the President of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee. Early life Babbar was born in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, in a Punjabi family on 23 June 1952, but he hails from Tundla, Firozabad. Asit Sen (director)
Asit Sen (24 September 1922 – 25 August 2001) was an Indian film director, cinematographer and screenwriter, who worked in both Bengali and Hindi cinema. He was born in Dhaka, now in modern-day Bangladesh, when it was part of East Bengal in British India. He directed 17 feature films in Hindi and Bengali, and was most known for the films '' Deep Jweley Jai'' (1959) and ''Uttar Falguni ''(1963) in Bengali, '' Mamta'' (1966), '' Khamoshi'' (1969), ''Anokhi Raat'' (1968) and '' Safar'' (1970) in Hindi. Birbal
Birbal (; born Mahesh Das; 1528 16 February 1586), or Raja Birbal, was a Saraswat Hindu Bhatt Brahmin advisor and main commander (''Mukhya Senapati'') of army in the court of the Mughal emperor, Akbar. He is mostly known in the Indian subcontinent for the folk tales which focus on his wit. Birbal was appointed by Akbar as a Minister (Mantri) and used to be a Poet and Singer in around 1556–1562. He had a close association with Emperor Akbar and was one of his most important courtiers, part of a group called the ''navaratnas'' (nine jewels). In February 1586, Birbal led an army to crush an unrest in the north-west Indian subcontinent where he was killed along with many troops in an ambush by the rebel tribe. Meena () is a sub-group of Bhils. They speak Meena language. They started adopting the Brahmin worship system. Its name is also transliterated as ''Meenanda'' or ''Mina''. Historians claim that they belong to the Matsya tribe. They got the status of Scheduled Tribe by the Government of India in 1954. Shakti Kapoor (born Sunil Kapoor; 3 September 1952) is an Indian actor and comedian who appears in Bollywood films. Known for his villainous and comic roles in Hindi films, he has featured in over 600 films. Bindiya Goswami is an Indian former actress, who is best known for her works in Hindi cinema throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
