Maya (2015 Tamil Film)
''Maya'' is a 2015 Indian Tamil-langauge neo-noir horror film written and directed by Ashwin Saravanan. It was produced by Potential Studios, which features Nayanthara along with Aari Arujunan in the lead roles. Lakshmi Priya and Amzath Khan were in supporting roles. This was Nayanthara's 50th film, and is regarded as one of the best horror films of Tamil cinema. It was one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of 2015. A dubbed Telugu version, ''Mayuri'', was also released. The film was remade in Kannada as '' Aake'' by K. M. Chaitanya, starring Chiranjeevi Sarja. Plot Vasanth ( Aari Arujunan) is an artist who is working on a story about 'Mayavanam', a haunted forest. On his friend's birthday, he tells a story involving 'Maya', a malevolent spirit. Ashwin Saravanan is an Indian film director, who has directed predominately Tamil language films. Directorial debut from '' Maya'' and film making style is neo-noir horror film. Second film was Game over and it is a psychological thriller film. Third movie is Connect and it is a supernatural horror movie. Reshmi Menon
Reshmi Menon is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Tamil films. Career In 2008, Menon was pursuing Visual Communication at Women's Christian College, Chennai, a course she enrolled in because she "loved the media". She accompanied her friend to the auditions for the Prakash Raj production, ''Inidhu Inidhu'' (2010), and was offered the lead role.
