Maxime Soulet
Maxime Soulet (born 26 July 1983) is a Belgian racing driver. Career Soulet began his racing career in 2002, competing in two races in the French Formula Renault series. In 2004, Soulet competed in both the Mini Cooper Challenge Belgium and the Belgian Formula Renault 1.6 series, winning championship titles in both. In 2015, Soulet was signed as a Bentley factory driver in the then-Blancpain GT Series. Soulet's best overall season with the marque occurred in 2017, when he and co-drivers Vincent Abril and Andy Soucek came within seven points of winning the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup. They entered the final round with an eight-point advantage, but retired during the final race while their closest competitor finished third. For 2018, Soulet signed with K-Pax Racing alongside fellow factory driver Soucek. Two years later, Soulet was part of the Bentley Team M-Sport team that won the 2020 Bathurst 12 Hour. Circuit Of The Americas
Circuit of the Americas (COTA) is a Grade 1 FIA-specification motor racing track and facilities located within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Austin, Texas, in the United States. The facility is home to the Formula One United States Grand Prix, NASCAR's Texas Grand Prix, and the Motorcycle Grand Prix of the Americas, a round in MotoGP. It previously hosted the Australian V8 Supercars, the Americas Rallycross Championship, the American Le Mans Series, the Rolex Sports Car Series, the FIA World Endurance Championship, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the IndyCar Classic. The 2023 Hankook Dubai 24 Hour was the 18th running of the Dubai 24 Hour, an endurance race that took place at the Dubai Autodrome on 14 and 15 January 2023. 2009 FIA GT Championship
The 2009 FIA GT Championship season was the thirteenth and final season of the FIA GT Championship for grand tourer cars competing in the GT1 and GT2 categories. The season began 3 May, and ended 25 October after eight races. This was also the final season of a combined GT1 and GT2 championship before the launch of the FIA GT1 World Championship in 2010. Vitaphone Racing Team Maserati drivers Michael Bartels and Andrea Bertolini successfully defended their GT1 Championships, pulling clear of the rivals in the final two events of the season after a close battle with the Peka Racing Chevrolet team of Anthony Kumpen and Mike Hezemans. 2008 FIA GT Championship
The 2008 FIA GT Championship season was the twelfth season of the FIA GT Championship. It featured a series for Grand Touring style cars broken into two classes based on power and manufacturer involvement, called GT1 and GT2. Invitational G2 and G3 classes were also allowed to participate but cars in these classes were not eligible to score points. The Championship began on 20 April 2008 and ended on 23 November 2008 after 10 rounds. Schedule The official 2008 calendar was released by the FIA on 24 October 2007. The FFSA GT Championship (''Championnat de France FFSA GT'') is a French Grand Touring-style sports car racing series that began in 1997. It is the main event of the ''Championnat de France des Circuits'' (formerly called ''Super Série FFSA'' and ''GT Tour''). The 2007 FIA GT Championship was the 11th season of FIA GT Championship auto racing. Matech Concepts
Matech Concepts was an auto racing development firm based in Geneva, Switzerland and founded by Martin Bartek in 2006. The company had made an agreement with Ford Racing to develop the Ford GT sports car for competition, and constructs the FIA GT1 and GT3 versions of the GT at a workshop in Mayen, Germany. Matech was also the official European distributor of parts for the Ford Mustang FR500 racing cars developed by Multimatic Motorsports.
