Mattias Elfström (born 8 January 1997) is a Swedish professional ice hockey forward currently playing for Hanhals IF of the Hockeyettan (Div.1). He was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the seventh round, 197th overall, in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Point (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, point has three contemporary meanings. Personal stat A point is awarded to a player for each goal scored or assist earned. The total number of goals plus assists equals total points. The Art Ross Trophy is awarded to the National Hockey League (NHL) player who leads the league in scoring points at the end of the regular season. Team stat Points are also awarded to assess standings (or rankings). Historically, teams were awarded two points for each win, one point for each tie and no points for a loss. Nybro Vikings IF
The Nybro Vikings is an ice-hockey club from Nybro in Sweden. The team was playing in the highest league in Sweden for two seasons 1968–69 and 1969–70 and the second highest league during the 70s and 80s and again for seven years from 2002 to 2009 in Hockeyallsvenskan. The team was relegated to the third division, Division 1, during the 2008-2009 season after finishing only 15th in the regular season and only third in the following qualification series with six teams, two from Hockeyallsvenskan and four from Division 1. The team currently plays in Liljas arena, which takes about spectators. Liljas arena is the fourth oldest ice hockey arena in Sweden, finished 1963. 1984 the arena was rebuilt. The 2017–18 HockeyAllsvenskan season is the 13th season that the second tier of Swedish ice hockey has operated under that name. The series consists of 14 teams playing a regular season in which each team plays each other team four times, twice at home and twice away. This is followed by a series of promotion and relegation tournaments, with the teams finishing first through eight participating in promotion playoffs, and the teams finishing 13th and 14th forced to requalify to avoid relegation to the Hockeyettan. IK Pantern
Idrottsklubben Pantern Known as IK Pantern, were a Swedish ice hockey club based in Malmö. The Club was reformed as IshockeyKlubben Pantern History IK Pantern was founded in 1959. On June 23, 1960, the association's first annual meeting was held, whereby Göran Pettersson was elected chairman with Jan Magnusson as deputy, treasurer Lars-Erik Hansson and secretary Berth Danefors with Kjell Olofsson as deputy. 2016–17 SHL Season
The 2016–17 SHL season is the 42nd season of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). The regular season began in September 2016 and ended in March 2017. The playoffs follow the conclusion of the regular season. Rögle BK and Leksands IF were forced to play in the SHL qualifiers to defend their SHL status. Rögle won their series against BIK Karlskoga in four games while Leksand lost to Mora IK over six games. Therefore, Mora were promoted to the SHL at the expense of Leksand. The 2015–16 Hockeyettan season is the second season that the third tier of ice hockey in Sweden has been organized under that name. The regular season began on 20 September 2015 and end on 14 February 2016, to be followed by promotion and relegation playoffs. Format The clubs meet each team from their starting groups twice, home and away. The top four teams from each group form two new groups of eight. Teams 1–4 from Hockeyettan North and East form Allettan North, while teams 1–4 from Hockeyettan South and West form Allettan West. Each of these Allettan groups then plays an additional home-and-away series. Meanwhile, the remaining eight teams in each starting group play each other again in a continuation series. The winner of each Allettan group qualifies directly for the 2016 HockeyAllsvenskan qualifiers.
