Bob Matlock
Robert Aubrey Matlock (3 August 1918 – 22 July 2006) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Sydney Swans, South Melbourne in the Australian Football League, Victorian Football League (VFL). Already 25 years of ago when he made his league debut, Matlock made 11 appearances in 1944. He was a regular member of the team in 1945 and one of just five players who participated in every game. This included the 1945 VFL Grand Final loss to Carlton Football Club, Carlton, which he played as a half back flanker. Glen Matlock (born 27 August 1956) is an English musician, best known for being the bass guitarist in the original line-up of the punk rock band the Sex Pistols. He is credited as a songwriter on 10 of the 12 songs on the Sex Pistols' only album, '' Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols'', although he had left the band early in the recording process, credited as bassist and backing vocalist on only two songs on the album, " Anarchy in the U.K." and "God Save The Queen". Since leaving the Sex Pistols in 1977, he has performed with several other bands, including Rich Kids, who scored a UK top 20 hit with the single "Rich Kids" in 1978, as well as presented his own work. Jimmy Matlock (born February 5, 1959) is an American politician, business owner, and Republican member of the Tennessee House of Representatives for the 21st district, encompassing Lenoir City, and parts of Loudon County and Monroe County. He served from 2007 to 2019. He succeeded Russell Johnson. Matlock was succeeded by Lowell Russell. Biography Jimmy Matlock was born on February 5, 1959, in Loudon, Tennessee. Leroy Matlock (March 12, 1907 - February 6, 1968) was an American baseball pitcher in the Negro leagues. He played from 1929 to 1938 with several teams. He was selected to the 1935 and the 1936 East-West All-Star Game. Matlock was considered one of the top left handed pitchers of the 1930s. Mark Matlock (born 1969) was the former executive director of youth specialties and the founder of WisdomWorks Ministries. He is an ordained minister and youth pastor who lives in Dallas. He coauthored the book ''Dirty Faith'' with Audio Adrenaline. He also wrote ''Freshman: The College Student's Guide to Developing Wisdom''. In this book, Matlock gives the following definition for wisdom: "the human capacity to understand life from God's perspective"; in the book ''Lost in Transition: Becoming Spiritually Prepared for College'', Tommy McGregor praised Matlock's definition for recognizing that "true wisdom comes from God." Julian Clifton "Matty" Matlock (April 27, 1907 – June 14, 1978) was an American Dixieland jazz clarinettist, saxophonist and arranger. Early years Matlock was born in Paducah, Kentucky, April 27, 1907, and raised in Nashville beginning in 1917. He began playing clarinet when he was 12. Career From 1929 to 1934, Matlock replaced Benny Goodman in the Ben Pollack band doing arrangements and performing on clarinet. Matlock was one of the main arrangers for Bob Crosby's band. He had joined Crosby's group in 1935 as clarinettist, playing with both the main Crosby band and the smaller Bobcats group, but "he was often seconded to write full-time for the orchestra and the Bobcats." He stayed with Crosby until the band broke up in 1942. Rebecca Burrum Matlock (1928–2019) was an American photographer and the wife of former U.S. Ambassador Jack F. Matlock, Jr. Biography Born Rebecca Inez Burrum in Manchester, Tennessee to Hugh H. Ronn Matlock (15 September 1947 – April 1, 2020) from Detroit, Michigan, United States, was an American songwriter and singer who made a brief recording appearance on the soul scene in 1979; however, his musical talents were utilised on many projects over the years. He stopped recording due to production company management difficulties. His singles included "Can't Forget About You", "Working Man" and "Take Me To The Top (Of Your Mountain)" from the ''Love City'' album, which were recorded in Sound Suite Studios in Detroit. His track, "Let Me Dance", peaked at No.87 in the US ''Billboard'' R&B chart. Spider Matlock
William Earnest "Spider" Matlock (June 30, 1901, St. Joseph, Missouri – January 27, 1936) was an American stuntman, stunt pilot, car racing promoter, driver and mechanic. Stunt flying One day, an airshow was scheduled at the Burdette Airport and School of Aviation in Los Angeles. When the performers did not show up, Ronald MacDougall, a part-owner of the airport, persuaded Matlock and Ken Nichols to help him. After five minutes of instruction (according to Nichols), the pair performed as wing walkers, with MacDougall flying the airplane. The burgeoning field of aviation reached Hollywood, and stunt pilots were needed. In 1924, MacDougall, Nichols and Matlock, formed a group called the Black Cats, later renamed the 13 Black Cats, to set standards and rates for aerial stunts for movies.
