Jimmy Matlock
Jimmy Matlock (born February 5, 1959) is an American politician, business owner, and Republican member of the Tennessee House of Representatives for the 21st district, encompassing Lenoir City, and parts of Loudon County and Monroe County. He served from 2007 to 2019. He succeeded Russell Johnson. Matlock was succeeded by Lowell Russell. Biography Jimmy Matlock was born on February 5, 1959, in Loudon, Tennessee. He attended the Middle Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee. He inherited a small business. He is a boardmember of the Tellico Reservoir Development Agency, the Eaton Crossroads Ruritan Club, BB&T for the Tennessee region, the Loudon County United Way, the East Tennessee Church of the Nazarene Advisory Board. Russell Johnson (Tennessee Politician)
Russell Johnson (born January 8, 1965) is an American politician and lawyer from Tennessee. He served as a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, from 2001 until 2007. He currently serves as a Tennessee state district attorney, being elected in 2006. Early life, education, and pre-political career Johnson was born in Pulaski, Virginia to Lawrence and Martha Russell Johnson, who were both teachers. Blount County, Tennessee
Blount County is a county located in the East Tennessee Grand Division of the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2020 census, its population was 135,280. The county seat is Maryville, which is also the county's largest city. Blount County is included in the Knoxville, Tennessee metropolitan statistical area. History What is today Blount County was for many thousands of years Indian territory, passed down to the Cherokee tribe that claimed the land upon the arrival of White settlers in the late 18th century.
