Mateusz Mika
Mateusz Włodzimierz Mika (born 21 January 1991) is a Polish professional volleyball player, a former member of the Poland national team. A participant in the Olympic Games Rio 2016, 2014 World Champion, and the 2012 Polish Champion with Asseco Resovia. At the professional club level, he plays for the Turkish team, Türşad. Career Clubs In 2012 Mika joined LOTOS Trefl Gdańsk. In the season 2013/2014 he was playing for the French club – Montpellier UC. On 12 June 2014 he came back to Gdańsk and signed a contract with LOTOS Trefl Gdańsk. On 19 April 2015 LOTOS Trefl Gdańsk, including Mika, won the Polish Cup. He was named the ''Most Valuable Player'' of the tournament. During the same season he won a silver medal of the Polish Championship. In April 2015 he signed a new two–year contract with the club. Bronisław Komorowski
Bronisław Maria Komorowski (; born 4 June 1952) is a Polish politician and historian who served as President of Poland from 2010 to 2015. Komorowski served as Minister of Defence from 2000 to 2001. As Marshal of the Sejm, Komorowski exercised the powers and duties of head of state following the death of President Lech Kaczyński in a plane crash on 10 April 2010. Komorowski was then the governing Civic Platform party's candidate in the resulting presidential election, which he won in the second round of voting on 4 July 2010. 2014 FIVB Men's World Championship
The 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship was held in Poland from 30 August to 21 September 2014. The tournament featured 24 teams to determine the world champions in men's volleyball. In addition to the host nation Poland, 23 teams qualified for the tournament by means of continental and regional competitions. The matches took place in seven venues across seven Polish cities, with the final being held at Spodek, Katowice. The tournament was won by the host country Poland, who beat Brazil (who won the previous three titles) in the final. Poland became the third team in the history of the competition to be crowned as champions in their own country, joining the Soviet Union (1952 and 1962) and Czechoslovakia (1966). 563,263 fans watched the matches during the 18-day event, smashing the previous records in the competition. The 2014 FIVB Volleyball World League was the 25th edition of the annual men's international volleyball tournament, played by 28 countries from 23 May to 20 July 2014. The France national men's volleyball team represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. It was the reigning European Champion in 2015 and is ranked 2nd (as of 25th July 2022) in the FIVB world ranking. France have been competing in the World League ever since the inaugural edition in 1990 and continuously since 1999. The 2014–15 PlusLiga was the 79th season of the Polish Volleyball Championship, the 15th season as a professional league organized by the Professional Volleyball League SA ( pl, Profesjonalna Liga Piłki Siatkowej SA) under the supervision of the Polish Volleyball Federation ( pl, Polski Związek Piłki Siatkowej).
