2014–15 PlusLiga
The 2014–15 PlusLiga was the 79th season of the Polish Volleyball Championship, the 15th season as a professional league organized by the Professional Volleyball League SA ( pl, Profesjonalna Liga Piłki Siatkowej SA) under the supervision of the Polish Volleyball Federation ( pl, Polski Związek Piłki Siatkowej). The number of teams competing in this season was increased from 12 to 14. Asseco Resovia won their 7th title of the Polish Champions. PlusLiga
The PlusLiga is the highest level of men's volleyball in Poland, a professional league competition featuring volleyball clubs located in this country. It is overseen by Polska Liga Siatkówki SA (PLS SA). It is currently a 16 teams league from October to April/May. The regular season is followed by playoffs, with the winner earning the Polish Championship ( pl, Mistrzostwo Polski). It is one of the best volleyball leagues in Europe, being highly ranked in the international competitions. Marko Ivović
Marko Ivović ( sr-cyrl, Марко Ивовић; born 22 December 1990) is a Serbian professional volleyball player. He is part of the Serbian national volleyball team. The 2019 European Champion and the 2016 World League winner. At the professional club level, he plays for Dynamo LO. Career Clubs Ivović spent the 2013–14 season playing for Paris Volley. His team won the CEV Cup and he himself was named the ''Most valuable player'' of the final. In 2014, he moved to the PlusLiga team, Asseco Resovia. He won the 2014–15 CEV Champions League silver medal, having lost to Zenit Kazan in the final, and the 2015 Polish Champion title. In May 2015, he left Resovia and signed a contract with the Russian team, Belogorie Belgorod. In April 2016, he came back to Asseco Resovia for the 2016–17 season. Aleh Akhrem
Aleh Akhrem or Olieg Achrem (born 12 March 1983) is a Belarusian professional volleyball coach and former volleyball player, a former member of the Belarus national team, with which he competed in the 2013 European Championship. He currently serves as an assistant coach for Asseco Resovia. Personal life Aleh was born in Grodno. On 5 January 2011, he received Polish citizenship (he changed his name as a result). He is married to Natalia. They have two sons, Igor and Daniel. Career Club He was one of the main players and later the captain of Asseco Resovia. Dawid Andrzej Konarski (born 31 August 1989) is a Polish professional volleyball player who plays as an opposite spiker for Skra Bełchatów. He is a former member of the Poland national team, a participant in the Olympic Games Rio 2016, and a two–time World Champion (2014, 2018). Lukáš Ticháček (born 12 January 1982) is a Czech professional volleyball player with Polish citizenship, a former member of the Czech Republic national team. Paul Michael Lotman (born November 3, 1985) is an American former professional volleyball player. He was part of the United States men's national volleyball team, U.S. national team, and a participant at the Olympic Games 2012 Summer Olympics, London 2012. The 2014 FIVB Volleyball World League, 2014 World League and the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup, 2015 World Cup winner. Personal life Lotman was born in Lakewood, California. His parents are Kathleen and Albert Lotman (his father died in 2011). He has two older brothers, Mark and Steven, and an older sister Shelley. He attended Los Alamitos High School (1999–2003). 2015–16 CEV Champions League
The 2015–16 CEV Champions League was the 57th edition of the highest level European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. Participating teams Format League round 28 teams have been drawn to 7 pools of 4 teams each. In each pool, the competition is organised on the basis of a double round-robin system. Each team will thus play 6 matches: twice against each opponent. In the League Round, the placing of the teams is determined by the number of matches won. In case of a tie in the number of matches won by two or more teams, they will be ranked on the basis of the following criteria: *match points; *set quotient (the number of total sets won divided by the number of total sets lost); *points quotient (the number of total points scored divided by the number of total points lost); *results of head-to-head matches between the teams in question.
