Mateusz Kościukiewicz
Mateusz Kościukiewicz (; born 1 May 1986 in Nowy Tomyśl) is a Polish film actor. Life and career He grew up in Nowy Tomyśl, where he attended the General and Post-Secondary Schools. He studied at the Kraków State Higher Theater School. In 2010 he received the Karlovy Vary Film Festival Award for the best actor (with Filip Garbacz) for the role in Paweł Sala's film ''Matka Teresa od kotów''. In the same year he won Zbigniew Cybulski Award. In 2011 he received an Eagle in category "Discovery of Year" for the role in ''All That I Love''. He was also nominated in category "Best Actor". In 2013 Mateusz Kościukiewicz was named one of the 10 most promising acting talents in Europe in EFP's Shooting Star 2014 showcase. He has been married to director Malgorzata Szumowska since 2011. Nowy Tomyśl
Nowy Tomyśl (german: Neutomischel) is a town in western Poland, in Greater Poland Voivodeship. It is the capital of Nowy Tomyśl County. The population is 15,627 (2004). The town has a long tradition of wickerwork. In the main town square stands a wicker basket woven in 2006, measuring long, 9 m wide and 7.7 m high, entered in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's largest basket. The film won the Teddy Award for Best Feature Film on LGBT topics at the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival and was screened at the Frameline Film Festival at the Castro Theater in San Francisco on 25 June 2013. The film focuses on a closeted gay Catholic priest living in rural Poland. Plot Father Adam (Andrzej Chyra) takes over a new parish and organizes a center for socially maladjusted youth. Jan Banaś (born Hans Dieter Banas on 29 March 1943 in the Schöneberg district of Berlin), nicknamed Bubi, is a Polish footballer, who began his career as a youngster playing for AKS Mikołów (1956–59) before moving to Zryw Chorzów in 1959-62, Polonia Bytom (1962–69) and Górnik Zabrze (1969–75). Between his first call-up for Poland in 1964 and his last in 1973, he earned 31 caps, scoring nine goals (or ten, if the controversial goal in the 1973 win over England is credited to him). Aged 32, he was allowed to move to the United States, and then played in a string of countries including Mexico (with Atlético Español), Belgium, and France well after his fortieth birthday. Krystian Bala (born 1973) is a Polish murderer, self-published writer, and photographer. Murder of Dariusz Janiszewski In 2007, Bala was sentenced to jail for 25 years for planning and committing the murder of Dariusz Janiszewski, a Polish small business owner, in Wrocław in 2000. Janiszewski's dead body was discovered floating in a lake. For three years the Wrocław police had failed to solve the murder, until a detective found some physical clues linking the murder to Bala. More sensationally, clues to the killing were found in Bala's first novel ''Amok'' (2003), published three years after Janiszewski's death. It was as if Bala had written a "fictionalized" version of the real-life killing into his novel, using information only the murderer could have known.
