Matahora Airport
Matahora Airport (Indonesian: ''Bandar Udara Matahora'') is an airport located in Wangi-wangi Island, Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. The airport serves as the point of entry to the Wakatobi National Park, a major international tourist destination, and the surrounding environs. Construction Construction of the airport began in 2007 with an investment of 100 billion Rupiah from the Southeast Sulawesi provincial government. The airport was inaugurated on 22 May 2009 by the sitting Indonesian Minister of Transportation Jusman Syafii Djamal. Expansion A new terminal was inaugurated on 8 May 2016 by former Minister of Transportation Ignasius Jonan. The new terminal has an area of and can accommodate up to 150 people daily. New facilities include a more spacious boarding lounge, more modern check-in counter, arranged concession area and more hygienic toilets. Sulawesi
Sulawesi (), also known as Celebes (), is an island in Indonesia. One of the four Greater Sunda Islands, and the world's eleventh-largest island, it is situated east of Borneo, west of the Maluku Islands, and south of Mindanao and the Sulu Archipelago. Ignasius Jonan (born 21 June 1963) is an Indonesian professional who was the Indonesian Minister for Energy and Mineral Resources serving under President Joko Widodo's administration. He is a former Indonesian Minister of Transportation and a former CEO of the Indonesian government-owned railway company, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT. KAI) which he headed from 2009 to 2014. Haluoleo Airport
Haluoleo International Airport (formerly Wolter Monginsidi International Airport) is an airport in Kendari, South East Sulawesi, Indonesia . The previous name of the airport was named for Robert Wolter Monginsidi (1925–1949), an Indonesian national hero who was executed by the Dutch during the Indonesian National Revolution. Since February 13, 2010, the airport is renamed to honor Buton Sultanate's sixth sultan, Halu Oleo (1488–1584). The new terminal was opened on 6 April 2012. Haluoleo service has experienced some service improvement, especially in the presence of 3 aerobridge facilities that facilitate passengers entering the terminal region of departure and arrival airports and heading to and from the aircraft. Non-directional Beacon
A non-directional beacon (NDB) or non-directional radio beacon is a radio beacon which does not include directional information. Radio beacons are radio transmitters at a known location, used as an aviation or marine navigational aid. NDB are in contrast to directional radio beacons and other navigational aids, such as low-frequency radio range, VHF omnidirectional range (VOR) and tactical air navigation system (TACAN).
