MasterChef Australia (series 14)
The fourteenth series of the Australian cooking game show '' MasterChef Australia'' premiered on 18 April 2022 on Network 10. The format for this season is ''Fans & Favourites'', and features 12 new contestants and 12 former contestants. Andy Allen, Melissa Leong, and Jock Zonfrillo returned to the show as judges from the previous season. In October 2021, Ten announced that ''MasterChef Australia'' would return for its 14th season in 2022, initially announced as ''Foodies Vs. Favourites''. In January 2022, production was temporarily halted after several members of the cast and production team contracted the COVID-19 virus. The judges, cast and crew are all fully vaccinated against the virus. Andrew Peter Allen (born 30 April 1988) is an Australian cook. He is notable for winning the fourth season of '' MasterChef Australia'' in 2012, and for being a judge on '' MasterChef Australia'' from 2020. ''MasterChef Australia'' Allen won the fourth season of ''MasterChef Australia''. After making it to the final, Allen beat fellow finalists Audra Morrice and Julia Taylor in a three-way contest. Facing only Taylor for the final two rounds, Allen won with a score of 76 to Taylor's 68. Allen appeared in an episode of '' MasterChef Australia All-Stars'' in August 2012. Julie Goodwin
Julie Goodwin (born 31 October 1970) is an Australian cook, author, radio and television presenter. She came to public attention when she won the inaugural season of '' MasterChef Australia'' in 2009, defeating artist Poh Ling Yeow in the final. Career Television For the first season of ''MasterChef Australia'', Goodwin was selected from over 7,000 applicants who applied for the show. Maggie Beer
Maggie Beer (born Margaret Anne Ackerman, 19 January 1945) is an Australian chef, food author, restaurateur, and food manufacturer. Beer is one of the judges on ''The Great Australian Bake Off'' alongside Matt Moran and is also a regular guest on '' MasterChef Australia''. Early life Maggie Beer was born in Sydney in January 1945, to Ronald Ackerman, whose German ancestry was from his paternal grandparents, and Doreen Carter, who had English ancestry from her maternal great-grandparents. Clare Smyth
Clare Smyth (born 1978) is a Northern Irish chef. She is the Chef Patron of three Michelin starred Core by Clare Smyth which opened in 2017. Previously she was Chef Patron at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay from 2012 to 2016, won the Chef of the Year award in 2013, and achieved a perfect score in the 2015 edition of the Good Food Guide. Shannon Bennett (born 23 November 1975) is an Australian chef and author. He is best known as the head chef of restaurant Vue de Monde at Melbourne's Rialto Tower. The fifth series of the Australian cooking game show '' MasterChef Australia'' premiered Sunday 2 June 2013 on Network Ten, with replays airing at 11am the following day. This particular series of the show was won by Emma Dean who had defeated Lynton Tapp and Samira El Khafir in the grand finale on 1 September 2013. Sashikumar Cheliah (born 10 June 1979) is a Singaporean-born Australian cook. He was a contestant on the tenth series of ''MasterChef Australia'' in 2018, eventually winning the show. TikTok
TikTok, known in China as Douyin (), is a short-form video hosting service owned by the Chinese company ByteDance. It hosts user-submitted videos, which can range in duration from 15 seconds to 10 minutes. TikTok is an international version of Douyin, which was released in the Chinese market in September 2016. It launched in 2017 for iOS and Android in most markets outside of mainland China; however, it became available worldwide only after merging with another Chinese social media service, Musical.ly, on 2 August 2018. Judges Gary Mehigan, George Calombaris and Matt Preston returned from the previous series, with Shannon Bennett as the contestants' mentor. This series was won by Sashi Cheliah in the grand finale against Ben Borsht, on 31 July 2018. Changes This season introduced a change in the Mystery Box Challenge. The winner will be going straight into the Immunity Challenge, which means he/she will not be cooking in the invention test and will be safe from the Pressure Test on the following day.
