MasterChef Australia (series 14)
The fourteenth series of the Australian cooking game show '' MasterChef Australia'' premiered on 18 April 2022 on Network 10. The format for this season is ''Fans & Favourites'', and features 12 new contestants and 12 former contestants. Andy Allen, Melissa Leong, and Jock Zonfrillo returned to the show as judges from the previous season. In October 2021, Ten announced that ''MasterChef Australia'' would return for its 14th season in 2022, initially announced as ''Foodies Vs. Favourites''. In January 2022, production was temporarily halted after several members of the cast and production team contracted the COVID-19 virus. The judges, cast and crew are all fully vaccinated against the virus. This series was won by Billie McKay in the grand finale against Sarah Todd, on 12 July 2022, making her the first and only two-time ''MasterChef Australia'' champion. Andy Allen (cook)
Andrew Peter Allen (born 30 April 1988) is an Australian cook. He is notable for winning the fourth season of '' MasterChef Australia'' in 2012, and for being a judge on '' MasterChef Australia'' from 2020. ''MasterChef Australia'' Allen won the fourth season of ''MasterChef Australia''. After making it to the final, Allen beat fellow finalists Audra Morrice and Julia Taylor in a three-way contest. Facing only Taylor for the final two rounds, Allen won with a score of 76 to Taylor's 68. Allen appeared in an episode of '' MasterChef Australia All-Stars'' in August 2012. Julie Goodwin
Julie Goodwin (born 31 October 1970) is an Australian cook, author, radio and television presenter. She came to public attention when she won the inaugural season of '' MasterChef Australia'' in 2009, defeating artist Poh Ling Yeow in the final. Career Television For the first season of ''MasterChef Australia'', Goodwin was selected from over 7,000 applicants who applied for the show. Maggie Beer (born Margaret Anne Ackerman, 19 January 1945) is an Australian chef, food author, restaurateur, and food manufacturer. Beer is one of the judges on ''The Great Australian Bake Off'' alongside Matt Moran and is also a regular guest on '' MasterChef Australia''. Clare Smyth
Clare Smyth (born 1978) is a Northern Irish chef. She is the Chef Patron of three Michelin starred Core by Clare Smyth which opened in 2017. The fifth series of the Australian cooking game show '' MasterChef Australia'' premiered Sunday 2 June 2013 on Network Ten, with replays airing at 11am the following day. Sashikumar Cheliah (born 10 June 1979) is a Singaporean-born Australian cook. He was a contestant on the tenth series of ''MasterChef Australia'' in 2018, eventually winning the show. The tenth series of the Australian cooking game show '' MasterChef Australia'' premiered on 7 May 2018 on Network Ten. Judges Gary Mehigan, George Calombaris and Matt Preston returned from the previous series, with Shannon Bennett as the contestants' mentor.
