Masashi Asaki
is a Japanese manga artist. He is best known as the artist for the series ''Psychometrer Eiji'' and '' Kunimitsu no Matsuri'', both written by Shin Kibayashi under the name Ando Yuma, and both of which have been adapted into live-action dramas. His current series, which he both writes and draws, is ''Denshi no Hoshi''. All three series are unusual for '' shōnen'' manga in dealing with political themes. With Agi, he received the 2003 Kodansha Manga Award for ''shōnen'' for ''Kunimitsu no Matsuri''. He was an assistant to Tsukasa Ōshima. Psychometrer Eiji
is a Japanese manga series written by Yuma Ando and illustrated by Masashi Asaki. It was serialized by Kodansha in ''Weekly Shōnen Magazine'' from 1996 to 2000, with its chapters collected in 25 ''tankōbon'' volumes. A sequel, titled ''Psychometrer'', was serialized in ''Weekly Young Magazine'' from 2011 to 2014. Summary Asuma Eiji is a normal high school student, with a reputation for being violent and involved in gangs. Kodansha Manga Award
is an annual award for serialized manga published in the previous year, the event is sponsored by the publisher Kodansha. It is currently awarded in three categories: '' shōnen'', '' shōjo'', and general. The awards began in 1977, initially with categories for ''shōnen'' and ''shōjo''. The first award for the general category was in 1982, and the first children's category's award was in 2003. The children's category was merged into the ''shōnen'' and ''shōjo'' categories starting in 2015. Each winning work will be honored with a bronze statuette, a certificate and a prize of 1 million yen (about US$7,500).
