Mary Beats Jane was a Swedish hardcore band from Gothenburg. Their self-titled 1994 album won a Swedish Grammy in 1994. Singer Peter Dolving, who went on to join the Haunted around 1997, has said the band is dead and won't be making any more music. Paul Stenning was a very outspoken supporter of the band, and shared rare tracks online with fans during the early 2000s. He stated in an interview with Dolving (and Anders Björler) with Terrorizer in 2004 that their 1994 debut album is "one of the greatest and most underrated metal albums of all time" and the follow-up is also a "cult classic". The Haunted is a Swedish heavy metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 1996. The original members were Anders and Jonas Björler, Peter Dolving, Adrian Erlandsson and Patrik Jensen. Both of the Björler brothers and Erlandsson were members of the seminal melodic death metal band At the Gates, a pioneering force in the Swedish death metal scene. Paul David Stenning (born 12 June 1976) is an English author, ghostwriter and poet. He has written twenty-nine books, of fiction, non-fiction, poetry and biography. Anders Björler (born 26 February 1973) is a Swedish musician, composer and film director. He is best known as the guitar player in the metal bands The Haunted and At the Gates, alongside his bass-playing twin brother Jonas Björler. Peter Dolving (born 24 October 1969) is a Swedish vocalist now living in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. He is most commonly known as the former frontman of the metal band The Haunted. Career Dolving began as a singer-songwriter playing in cafes in Sweden. He joined the band Mary Beats Jane and organized raves to support himself. He then opened the highly successful rock club called "Underground" in the basement of the restaurant Kompaniet in Gothenburg. Mary Beats Jane released their first album in 1994 and toured through 1997. Dolving has said Mary Beats Jane will never re-form.
