Martina Lautenschläger
Martina Lautenschlager (born 18 July 1988) is a Swiss former professional tennis player. Lautenschlager played in a doubles rubber for the Switzerland Fed Cup team in 2004, as a member of a young and inexperienced Swiss squad for a tie against Canada in Dorval, Quebec. Switzerland won the tie and Lautenschlager got her opportunity in a doubles dead rubber, partnering Timea Bacsinszky. The pair were beaten in two tiebreak sets by Mélanie Marois and Marie-Ève Pelletier. While competing on the junior circuit she also played in some professional tournaments and won an ITF doubles title at Lenzerheide in 2005. She left the professional tour in 2006. ITF Women's Circuit
The ITF Women's World Tennis Tour, previously known as the ITF Women's Circuit, is a series of professional tennis tournaments run by the International Tennis Federation for female professional tennis players. History It serves as a developmental circuit for the WTA Tour, which is run by the independent Women's Tennis Association (WTA). Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. The Switzerland women's national tennis team represents Switzerland in Fed Cup tennis competition and are governed by Swiss Tennis. They currently compete in World Group. Dorval () is an on-island suburban city on the island of Montreal in southwestern Quebec, Canada. In 2016, the Canadian Census indicated that the population increased by 4.2% to 18,980. Mélanie Marois
Mélanie Marois (born 10 March 1984) is a former professional tennis player from Canada. Biography A right-handed player from Quebec, Marois was a regular competitor at the local Challenge Bell WTA Tour tournament, appearing in every main draw from 1999 to 2004. Marois featured in the doubles rubber of four Fed Cup ties for Canada, all in 2004 and partnering Marie-Ève Pelletier. Marie-Ève Pelletier (; born May 18, 1982) is a Canadian former professional tennis player. She reached career-high rankings by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) of 106 in singles on June 20, 2005 and 54 in doubles on April 12, 2010. Tennis career 1998–2013 Marie-Ève played in one career Grand Slam singles match in 2004, at the Australian Open, qualifying for the tournament before losing in the first round to Akiko Morigami. She is the previous winner of two events on the ITF Women's Circuit, the 2000 Virginia Beach and 2005 Waikoloa tournaments. Lenzerheide ( Romansh: ''Lai'') is a mountain resort in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland at the foot of the Parpaner Rothorn.
