On 31 July 1954, Antoinette, Crown Princess of Bavaria, wife of Rupprecht, Crown Prince of Bavaria, died in Lenzerheide. Lenzerheide was also the location where philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche wrote his famous posthumous fragment about Nihilism.
