William Martin Alleyne Cecil, 7th Marquess of Exeter (27 April 1909 – 12 January 1988), known until 1981 as Lord Martin Cecil, was an Anglo-Canadian peer. Personal Cecil was the second son of William Cecil, 5th Marquess of Exeter and of his wife, the Hon. Myra Orde-Powlett. He first married Edith Csanady de Telegd on 17 January 1934. They had one child: * Michael Anthony Cecil, 8th Marquess of Exeter, born on 1 September 1935. Cecil later married Lillian Johnson on 3 September 1954, with whom he had two children: * Lady Marina June Brownlow-Cecil (born 16 June 1956) * Janine Dawn Brownlow-Cecil (12 January 1958 – 3 May 1958). William Thomas Brownlow Cecil, 5th Marquess of Exeter, (27 October 1876 – 6 August 1956), known as Lord Burghley from 1895 to 1898, was a British peer. Exeter was the son of Brownlow Cecil, 4th Marquess of Exeter, and his wife, the former Isabella Whichcote. He was educated at Eton and Magdalene College, Cambridge. In 1899 he acted temporarily as aide-de-camp to Major-General John Edward Boyes, with the 7th Brigade at Aldershot. Family Lord Exeter married Hon. Myra Orde-Powlett, daughter of William Orde-Powlett, 4th Baron Bolton, on 16 April 1901. 100 Mile House, British Columbia
100 Mile House is a district municipality located in the South Cariboo region of central British Columbia, Canada. History 100 Mile House was originally known as Bridge Creek House, named after the creek running through the area. Its origins as a settlement go back to the time when Thomas Miller owned a collection of ramshackle buildings serving the traffic of the gold rush as a resting point for travellers moving between Kamloops and Fort Alexandria, which was north of 100 Mile House farther along the Hudson's Bay Brigade Trail. It acquired its current name during the Cariboo Gold Rush where a roadhouse was constructed in 1862 at the mark up the Old Cariboo Road from Lillooet. In 1930, Lord Martin Cecil left England to come to 100 Mile House and manage the estate owned by his father, the 5th Marquess of Exeter. David George Brownlow Cecil, 6th Marquess of Exeter, KCMG KStJ (9 February 1905 – 22 October 1981), styled Lord Burghley before 1956 and also known as David Burghley, was an English athlete, sports official, peer, and Conservative Party politician. He won the gold medal in the 400 m hurdles at the 1928 Summer Olympics.
