Markel Humphrey
Markel Humphrey (born November 21, 1987) is an American basketball player who plays for BBC Monthey of the Swiss Basketball League. He usually plays as small forward or shooting guard. Professional career In 2009 Humphrey signed with Matrixx Magixx, a team based in Nijmegen, Netherlands. He extended his contract after his first season. Humphrey also returned for a third season with Magixx. He signed with JSA Bordeaux Basket, a team from the LNB Pro B for the 2012–13 season. In May 2013 he signed with Saint-Quentin, another team from the Pro B. Since 2015, Humphrey plays in Switzerland where he has played for Lions de Genève, BBC Monthey and Union Neuchâtel. He spent the 2019–20 season with Lions de Genève and averaged 14.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game, earning Eurobasket.com All-Swiss SBL Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors. Small Forward
The small forward (SF), also known as the three or swingman, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. Small forwards are typically shorter, quicker, and leaner than power forwards and centers but taller, larger, and stronger than either of the guard positions. DBL All-Star
The Dutch Basketball League All-Star Gala was a yearly basketball event in the Netherlands, organised by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB). During the event the yearly All-Star Game was played, which included the best players of a given DBL season. Additionally, a dunk Contest and three-point contest were also held at the event. Since the 2017–18 season, the event is no longer organised by the FEB. The LNB Pro B, commonly known as Pro B, is the French basketball league system, 2nd-tier level men's professional basketball league in France. It is the second division of the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB), which has organized the league since the year 1987. The regular season champion and the winner of the promotion playoffs from each Pro B season are promotion and relegation, promoted to the French basketball league system, top-tier level LNB Pro A, replaced by the bottom two teams in Pro A.
