Mark O'Dea
Mark O'Dea (born 1 June 1991) is a British television presenter and YouTuber, mainly known for his work in Malaysia. Early life O'Dea was born in Gravesend, Kent. He was cast in his first theatre role at the age of eleven in the West End production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium. He was awarded a scholarship to the Sylvia Young Theatre School at the age of twelve . Career After graduating from the Sylvia Young Theatre school, O'Dea moved to Malaysia where he joined the Malaysian-based boyband 'The London Boys' and at the same time started a YouTube channel which included pranks, sketches, song covers and challenges. Following The London Boys, O'Dea joined The 8TV Quickie ''The 8TV Quickie'' was a both 15-minute and 1 minute short variety show that aired every night at 9:30pm, 10:30pm (or 10:00 pm on certain days) and 11:30pm (or 12:00 am / 12:30 am on certain days), on 8TV. A YouTuber is an online personality and/or influencer who produces videos on the video-sharing platform YouTube, typically posting to their personal YouTube channel. The term was first used in the English language in 2006. Influence Influential YouTubers are frequently described as microcelebrities. Gravesend
Gravesend is a town in northwest Kent, England, situated 21 miles (35 km) east-southeast of Charing Cross (central London) on the Bank (geography), south bank of the River Thames and opposite Tilbury in Essex. ''Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'' is a 1968 musical-fantasy film directed by Ken Hughes with a screenplay co-written by Roald Dahl and Hughes, loosely based on Ian Fleming's novel '' Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang: The Magical Car'' (1964). London Palladium
The London Palladium () is a Grade II* West End theatre located on Argyll Street, London, in the famous area of Soho. The theatre holds 2,286 seats. Of the roster of stars who have played there, many have televised performances. Between 1955 and 1969 ''Sunday Night at the London Palladium'' was held at the venue, which was produced for the ITV network. The show included a performance by The Beatles on 13 October 1963. Sylvia Young Theatre School
Sylvia Young Theatre School is an independent school in Marble Arch, London, England. It is a specialist performing arts school named after its founder and principal, Sylvia Young OBE. Outline The Sylvia Young Theatre School was founded in 1972 with part-time classes in East London. It was established as a full-time school in 1981 on Drury Lane, but due to expansion it moved to Rossmore Road, Marylebone in 1983. The school moved premises once again in 2010 to a converted church in Nutford Place, Westminster. The 8TV Quickie
''The 8TV Quickie'' was a both 15-minute and 1 minute short variety show that aired every night at 9:30pm, 10:30pm (or 10:00 pm on certain days) and 11:30pm (or 12:00 am / 12:30 am on certain days), on 8TV. The first two air for one minute as a sneak preview, and the last one, the regular edition, is 15 minutes with a single commercial break. The last opening sequence of the show features the song " We Are Over Here" by Malaysian band, Dash. In the main 15-minute show, the hosts usually introduces the preview of a current movie, play creative games and receive calls from the audience to participate in contests to win prizes.
