Mark Matthiesen
Mark Matthiesen is an American politician from the state of Missouri. A Republican, he was elected in November 2016 from the 70th district of the Missouri House of Representatives, served from January 2017 to January 2019, then was elected in November 2022 from the 103rd district. The 70th district included parts of Saint Charles and Saint Louis counties, spanning between Chesterfield and Florissant. In 2018, Matthiesen lost re-election to Democratic candidate Paula Brown by less than a one percent margin and only 111 votes, with nearly 200 votes going to a third-party candidate. In 2022, he was elected from another St. Charles county district, that includes much of the city of O'Fallon. Nick Schroer is an American politician in the Missouri Senate, representing District 2 in St. Charles County. He previously was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2016, 2018, and 2020 to represent House District 107. He won the Republican primary in August 2022, defeating fellow Republican Representative John Wiemann, 57.6% to 42.4%. Florissant () is a city in St. Louis County, Missouri, within Greater St. Louis. It is a middle class, second-ring northern suburb of St. Louis. Bill Otto (born January 1, 1956) is a former Democratic member of the Missouri House of Representatives, representing District 70. He is a Navy veteran and retired air traffic controller. In 2016, Otto choose to run for the 2nd Congressional District seat rather than run for re-election on the state level. He ran a campaign with no primary opposition for the 2nd District Congressional seat and lost to Rep. Ann Wagner. In March 2017, Bill Otto was hired as the Executive Director of the St. Charles County Democratic Central Committee.
