Bill Otto (Missouri Politician)
Bill Otto (born January 1, 1956) is a former Democratic member of the Missouri House of Representatives, representing District 70. He is a Navy veteran and retired air traffic controller. In 2016, Otto choose to run for the 2nd Congressional District seat rather than run for re-election on the state level. He ran a campaign with no primary opposition for the 2nd District Congressional seat and lost to Rep. Ann Wagner. In March 2017, Bill Otto was hired as the Executive Director of the St. Charles County Democratic Central Committee. In February 2018, Otto announced his run for the Missouri House District 65, located in St. Charles County; he lost to incumbent Tom Hannegan by less than two percent in November. Mark Matthiesen
Mark Matthiesen is an American politician from the state of Missouri. A Republican, he was elected in November 2016 from the 70th district of the Missouri House of Representatives, served from January 2017 to January 2019, then was elected in November 2022 from the 103rd district. The 70th district included parts of Saint Charles and Saint Louis counties, spanning between Chesterfield and Florissant. In 2018, Matthiesen lost re-election to Democratic candidate Paula Brown by less than a one percent margin and only 111 votes, with nearly 200 votes going to a third-party candidate. The National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA) is a labor union in the United States. It is affiliated with the AFL–CIO, and is the exclusive bargaining representative for air traffic controllers employed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). It also represents a range of workers related to the air traffic control (ATC) industry, and the FAA itself. NATCA was certified on June 19, 1987 and formed to replace the Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization (PATCO), which had been decertified following the well known 1981 air-traffic controllers' strike. NATCA promised to never condone an illegal strike but does actively pressure Congress and the FAA to hire more controllers and to accelerate the installation of advanced air traffic control systems. Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (NASWI) is a naval air station of the United States Navy located on two pieces of land near Oak Harbor, Washington, Oak Harbor, on Whidbey Island, in Island County, Washington (state), Washington.
