Mark Coleridge
Mark Benedict Coleridge (born 25 September 1948) is an Australian Catholic bishop. Since 11 May 2012 he has served as the sixth Roman Catholic Archbishop of Brisbane in Queensland. He previously served as the Archbishop of Canberra–Goulburn (2006–12) and as an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Melbourne (2002–06). Early life Mark Coleridge was born in Melbourne, Victoria. The third of five siblings born to Bernard and Marjorie (née Harvey) Coleridge, he was educated at Saint Joseph's School, Tranmere, South Australia, Rostrevor College, Adelaide, and St Kevin's College, Toorak. Contemplating a career in the Australian diplomatic service, he graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in French. The Most Reverend
The Most Reverend is a style applied to certain religious figures, primarily within the historic denominations of Christianity, but occasionally in some more modern traditions also. It is a variant of the more common style "The Reverend". Anglican In the Anglican Communion, the style is applied to archbishops (including those who, for historical reasons, bear an alternative title, such as presiding bishop), rather than the style "The Right Reverend" which is used by other bishops. "The Most Reverend" is used by both primates (the senior archbishop of each independent national or regional church) and metropolitan archbishops (as metropolitan of an ecclesiastical province within a national or regional church). Francesco Canalini
Francesco Canalini (born 23 March 1936) is an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who spent his career in the diplomatic service of the Holy See. Biography Francesco Canalini was born in Osimo, Italy, on 23 March 1936. He was ordained a priest on 19 March 1961. To prepare for a diplomatic career he entered the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy in 1966. His early assignments in the diplomatic service included work at a meeting of the Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe (CSCE) in 1974. On 28 May 1986, Pope John Paul II appointed him a titular archbishop and Apostolic Pro-Nuncio to Indonesia. His received his episcopal consecration on 12 July 1986 from Cardinal Agostino Casaroli. Tranmere is an eastern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It is located in the City of Campbelltown. History The name ''Tranmere'' was given in 1838 to Section 273 of 67 acres by its purchaser David Wylie, who named it after his hometown of Tranmere, Cheshire in England. David Wylie M.A. (ca.1799 – 8 March 1853), who ran a school on the property, was a brother-in law of William Scott MLC, who purchased an adjoining property. A bishop is an ordained clergy member who is entrusted with a position of authority and oversight in a religious institution. His Grace or Her Grace is an English style used for various high-ranking personages. It was the style used to address English monarchs until Henry VIII and the Scottish monarchs up to the Act of Union of 1707, which united the Kingdom of Scotland and the Kingdom of England. Today, the style is used when referring to archbishops and non-royal dukes and duchesses in the United Kingdom. Ken Howell (bishop)
Kenneth Howell (born 20 February 1958) is the bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Toowoomba. He was previously an auxiliary bishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane. He was consecrated by Archbishop Mark Coleridge at St Stephen's Cathedral, Brisbane on 14 June 2017. He was appointed Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Toowoomba by Pope Francis on 24 May 2023.
