Marina Perazić
Denis & Denis was a Croatian and Yugoslav synth-pop group formed in Rijeka in 1982. They were one of the most popular acts of the Yugoslav synth-pop scene. Formed as a duo consisting of keyboardist and vocalist Davor Tolja and vocalist Marina Perazić, Denis & Denis immediately gained attention of the Yugoslav audience with their first recordings broadcast on Yugoslav radio stations. Their debut album, ''Čuvaj se!'', released in 1984, brought them nationwide popularity, Perazić becoming one of the biggest sex symbols of the Yugoslav rock scene. Xenia was a Yugoslavian pop rock band from Rijeka, active in period 1981–1985 in Yugoslavia. Their discography includes two 7-inch singles singles and two studio albums. Biography The band was formed in 1981 by Vesna Vrandečić and Robert Funčić. Debut album ''Kad nedjelja prođe'' (''When Sunday's Over'') was recorded in "Tira Recording Studio" in Torsby, Sweden, produced by Tihomir Varga, and was released by Jugoton. Two biggest hits from this album were "Iznenadi me" and "Moja prijateljica". Alka Vuica
Alka Vuica (; born 8 June 1961) is a Croatian singer, lyricist and TV presenter. Her musical style can be described as a mixture of pop and local folk. Biography Born in Pula to Zvonko and Zdenka Vuica, she started writing songs at a young age. At the age of 18, she moved to Zagreb and met Adi Karaselimović who was a drummer of a band Srebrna Krila. She was introduced to composer Đorđe Novković, manager Vladimir Mihaljek and most importantly Goran Bregović. In 1980s, she worked as a journalist and as songwriter, especially for Josipa Lisac, for whom she penned "Gdje Dunav ljubi nebo" (''Where Danube Kisses the Sky''), "Danas sam luda" (''Today I'm Crazy''), "Kraljica divljine" (''Queen of the Wild''), "Moja magija" (''My Magic'') and the album ''Hoću samo tebe'' (''I Want Only You'') which was released in 1983. ''Rock'' was a Yugoslav music magazine, published from 1982 to 1990. History ''Rock'' first appeared in April 1982 as ''Rock 82''. Initially, ''Rock 82'' was a supplement of NIP Politika's comic magazine ''Strip 82''; the back cover of ''Strip 82'' being the front cover of ''Rock 82'', printed in an unusual 11x30cm magazine format. ''Rock 82s first editor-in-chief as well as its initiator was rock critic . Let 3 (Croatian for "Flight 3") is a modern rock band from Rijeka, Croatia formed in 1987. The frontmen are Damir "Mrle" Martinović and Zoran "Prlja" Prodanović. The band is popular in Croatia and other former Yugoslav republics due to their original approach to rock music and their obscene live performances. Their songs often contain provocative and vulgar lyrics and the band is known for shocking live performances with much nudity. Massimo Savić
Massimo Moreno Savić (6 June 1962 – 23 December 2022), also known simply as Massimo, was a Croatian pop singer. His father was a native of Tulež near Aranđelovac. His mother was Italian from Istria, a native of Raša near Labin. He first became popular in the 1980s with his band Dorian Gray, and then soon embarked on a successful solo career. He won five Porin awards for best male vocal performance, 2004–2007, and in 2012. In 2013, Massimo's thirty-year anniversary concert sold out the Pula Arena. It featured Vlado Kreslin, Neno Belan, and Nina Badrić as guests, and was also broadcast live by the Croatian Radiotelevision. He was one of the judges on the X Factor Adria (series 2), second series of ''X Factor Adria''. Dorian Gray was a 1980s Yugoslav music group which achieved great prominence in the former Yugoslav rock scene for its artistic and extravagant style and stage performances. It was led by Massimo Savić, who later started a successful solo career. It should not be confused with the short-lived 1970s German band of the same name.
