Marijn de Vries (born 19 November 1978) is a Dutch journalist and former racing cyclist. De Vries took up bicycle racing in 2008 whilst working as a reporter for the Dutch TV programme '. She subsequently attempted to turn professional as part of a radio documentary she made, leading to her joining Leontien van Moorsel's Leontien.nl team in 2010. She competed in the 2013 UCI women's team time trial in Florence. On 30 August 2015, de Vries announced her retirement from professional cycling. Marijn Emmanuel Dekkers (born 22 September 1957 in Tilburg, Netherlands) is a Dutch-American former pharmaceutical businessman. He was CEO of Bayer AG from 2010 to 2016. He served as CEO of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. from 2002 to 2009. He served as Chairman of Unilever from 2016 to 2019. He is also Founder and Chairman of Novalis LifeSciences LLC, an investment and advisory firm for the Life Science industry. Early life Dekkers grew up as the youngest of three children of a merchant in the Dutch city of Tilburg. Marijn Elise Nijman (born 27 August 1985) is a Dutch former cricketer who played as an all-rounder, batting right-handed and bowling right-arm medium. She appeared in one Test match, 21 One Day Internationals and six Twenty20 Internationals for the Netherlands between 2005 and 2011. Marijn Franx (born 20 July 1960) is a Dutch professor of astronomy at Leiden University. He was a winner of the 2010 Spinoza Prize. His research focuses on the formation and evolution of galaxies. He is involved with both the Hubble and James Webb Space Telescopes. Career Franx was born on 20 July 1960 in Eindhoven. He studied astronomy at Leiden University and graduated cum laude in 1984. Four years later he obtained his doctorate from the same university. From 1988 to 1991 Franx was a Junior Fellow of Harvard University. In 1991 he became a Hubble Fellow. Between 1993 and 1998 he was professor of astronomy at the University of Groningen, he then moved to Leiden University where he has held the same position since. She is currently an Associate Professor of Developmental psychology at the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences of the University of Groningen, Netherlands. Marijne van der Vlugt (born 6 October 1965 in De Meije) is a Dutch musician, former model and MTV Europe VJ. She is the daughter of Dutch actor Bram van der Vlugt. Marijne started her career as a VJ for MTV Europe Central from London in the early 1990s and hosted such shows as Alternative Nation (every Wednesday from 23:00), and the fashion show ''The Pulse with Swatch''. She also often did the voiceovers for the night-time videos and her voice was used in some MTV adverts. Marienus Johannes Hendrikus Heule (born March 12, 1979 at Rijnsburg, The Netherlands) is a Dutch computer scientist at Carnegie Mellon University who studies SAT solvers. Heule has used these solvers to resolve mathematical conjectures such as the Boolean Pythagorean triples problem, Schur's theorem number 5, and Keller's conjecture in dimension seven. Marinus Franciscus Johannes "Marijn" Backer (born 6 September 1956) is a Dutch educator, poet, and writer. Backer has been publishing poetry, including in translation, at least since 1986. In 1992 he won the Zilveren Griffel prize with Inez van Eijk for his first children's book ''Lieve engerd, de groeten''. Backer has been publishing youth literature ever since and occasionally engages in nonfiction. His poems are still published on his website.
