Mariano Ferreira Filho (born 23 June 1986), simply known as Mariano, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for Atlético Mineiro as a right back. He rose to prominence at Fluminense, where he made 165 appearances across three years, and was named in the Bola de Prata and Prêmio Craque do Brasileirão teams when they won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A in 2010. Mariano Azuela González (January 1, 1873 – March 1, 1952) was a Mexican author and physician, best known for his fictional stories of the Mexican Revolution of 1910. He wrote novels, works for theatre and literary criticism. He is the first of the "novelists of the Revolution," and he influenced other Mexican novelists of social protest. Mariano Nicolás González (born 5 May 1981) is a retired Argentine professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder or as a winger. Club career Born in Tandil, Buenos Aires Province, González started his career at Racing Club de Avellaneda, arriving at 17 from neighbouring Club Atlético Independiente. Mariano Fernández Bermejo (born 1948) is a Spanish jurist and politician, who served as justice minister of Spain from 2007 to 2009. Early life and education Bermejo was born in Arenas de San Pedro, Ávila, in 1948. He holds a PhD in law, which he obtained from Complutense University in Madrid in November 1969. Mariano Armellino (1657–1737) was a Benedictine historian, born in Rome (according to others, at Ancona). At the age of twenty he entered the monastery of St. Paul in Rome, whence he was sent to Monte Cassino to complete his studies. From 1687 to 1695 he taught philosophy at various monasteries of the Cassinese Congregation.
