Maoist Communist Centre
The Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) was one of the largest two armed Maoist groups in India, and fused with the other, the People's War Group in September 2004, to form the Communist Party of India (Maoist). Dakshin Desh When the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) was founded in 1969, rallying various Maoist tendencies into a unified organisation, some groups retained a separate identity and remained outside of CPI(ML). One such group was nicknamed ''Dakshin Desh'', after the name of its publication. The group had begun publishing ''Dakshin Desh'' in along Maoist lines. The group was joined by a sector of trade union activists. ''Dakshin Desh'' is Hindi for 'Southern Land' (implied in this naming was that India was the 'Southern land' whereas China was the corresponding 'Northern land'). The Communist Party of India (Maoist) is a Marxism–Leninism–Maoism, Marxist–Leninist–Maoist banned Communism, communist political party and militant organization in India which aims to overthrow the "semi-colonial and semi-feudal Indian state" through people's war, protracted people's war. It was founded on 21 September 2004, through the merger of the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) People's War (People's War Group) and the Maoist Communist Centre of India (MCCI). The CPI (Maoist) are also known as the Naxalites, in reference to the Naxalbari Naxalite–Maoist insurgency, insurrection conducted by radical Maoists in West Bengal since 1967. Dalit (from sa, दलित, dalita meaning "broken/scattered"), also previously known as untouchable, is the lowest stratum of the Caste system in India, castes in India. Dalits were excluded from the four-fold Varna (Hinduism), varna system of Hinduism and were seen as forming a avarna, fifth varna, also known by the name of ''Panchama''. Jehanabad District
Jehanabad district is one of the thirty-eight districts of Bihar state, India. Jehanabad town is the administrative headquarters of this district. Jehanabad district is a part of Magadh Division, and is located on the confluence of two small rivers called Dardha and Yamunaiya. Sushil Roy
Shusil Roy (25 December 1936 — 18 June 2014) popularly known by his nom de guerre Som alias Ashok was a Maoist ideologue and senior Politburo member of the Communist Party of India (Maoist). He was the nephew of Indian freedom fighter Dinesh Gupta. Political activities Roy joined in Communist Party of India in 1963 and led trade union movements in Bansdroni area of Kolkata. After the seventh Congress in 1964, he joined Communist Party of India (Marxist) and mobilized group of workers against the imperialist Vietnam War. In 1966, Roy was at the forefront of the food movement of West Bengal, facing police atrocities and became arrested. After the Naxalbari uprising in 1967, Roy left the CPI(M). In 1980 he became the general secretary of erstwhile Maoist Communist Centre of India (MCC) and the post he till kept in 1996. Pramod Mishra
Pramod Mishra is a maoist politician and senior politburo member of Communist Party of India (Maoist). Career Mishra is from a village in Aurangabad, Bihar. He was a prominent leader of the erstwhile Naxalite group Maoist Communist Centre of India. Mishra organized a large scale land movement in Bihar after the death of Kanai Chatterjee. After the formation of CPI (Maoist) in 2004, he became the Central Committee member of the Party. Mishra was known as ''Bibiji'', ''Agni'' and ''Ban Bihari'' inside the party. According to the Bihar police he was wanted in two dozen cases of murder, arson and looting in Bihar, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. Kanu Sanyal
Kanu Sanyal (1932 – 23 March 2010) was an Indian communist politician. In 1967, he was one of the main leaders of the Naxalbari uprising and in 1969 he was one of the founding leaders of Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) ( CPI (ML)). Sanyal committed suicide on 23 March 2010. Formation and growth of CPI (ML) Kanu Sanyal joined communist politics, first as a member of CPI then CPI(M). He announced the formation of the original CPI (ML) on Vladimir Lenin's birthday in 1969 at a public rally in Calcutta. He came out with the seminal Terai report on revolution in India, which openly denounced the anarcho-nihilist policies of Charu Majumdar and his loyalists.
