Manuel Pereira
Manuel Pereira (born 18 June 1961) is a Spanish fencer. In 1989 he became the first Spaniard to earn a gold medal in épée in the World Fencing Championships. He also competed in the individual and team épée events at the 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympics. Pereira became a coach after his retirement as a sportsman. Under his supervision, Spain won a gold medal in women's team épée at the 2004 World Fencing Championships in Lisbon. He was inducted in 2014 in the Hall of Fame of the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime. His son Yulen Yulen ( bg, Юлен) is a nature reserve in Pirin National Park, located in the homonymous mountain range in south-western Bulgaria. Las Rozas De Madrid
Las Rozas de Madrid (or simply, Las Rozas; ) is one of the largest townships and municipalities in the autonomous community of Madrid, Spain, with an area of 59 km² (22¾ sq. mi.). It is located 20 km (12 miles) northwest of the city of Madrid itself, on the A-6 freeway to A Coruña. Las Rozas is the beginning of this freeway, near the fork road M-505 to El Escorial, which marks the southern boundary of this 'comarca' or rural district (although it is no longer rural). The ''Fédération Internationale d'Escrime'' ( en, International Fencing Federation), commonly known by the acronym FIE, is the international governing body of Olympic fencing. Today, its head office is at the Maison du Sport International in Lausanne, Switzerland. The FIE is composed of 157 national federations, each of which is recognized by its country's Olympic Committee as the sole representative of Olympic-style fencing in that country. Since its inception in 1913, there have been 14 presidents. Yulen Pereira
Yulen Pereira (born 12 July 1995) is a Spanish épée fencer, silver team medallist in the 2014 European Fencing Championships. Career Pereira is the son of Manuel Pereira, Spain's only World champion in épée. He began playing with plastic and foam swords at home when he was four before taking up fencing proper. His first major medal was a bronze in the 2011 Cadets European Championships in Klagenfurt. In the 2012–13 season he won a bronze medal in the Junior European Championships in Budapest and a silver medal in the Junior World Championships in Poreč. These results caused him to be selected into the senior national team along with José Luis Abajo, Pau Roselló, and Elías Casado. His first senior competition was the Senior World Championships in Budapest.
