Manuel Otero Aparicio ( Madrid; 25 June 1942 - São Paulo, Brazil; 1 June 2011), known as Manolo Otero, was a Spanish singer, actor and director. Musical career Otero recorded a Spanish language version of When a Child is Born in 1973, with the Spanish title ''Todo el Tiempo del Mundo'' (All the Time in the World), which became a number one hit for 18 weeks from December 1974 to April 1975. Film career In 1967, Otero won the Grand Prix at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival for directing ''Arès contre Atlas''. He co-directed other short films, including Patchwork and Rails. Personal life In 1973, Otero married actress María José Cantudo. They had one son, Manuel, and separated in 1978. When A Child Is Born
"When A Child Is Born" is a popular Christmas song. The original melody was " Soleado", a tune from 1974 by Ciro Dammicco (alias Zacar), composer for Italy's Daniel Sentacruz Ensemble, and Dario Baldan Bembo. The tune was based on Damicco's earlier tune "Le rose blu" published in 1972. The English language lyrics were written a few years later by Fred Jay (Friedrich Alex Jacobson IPI number 00015195204, who wrote many hits for Boney M such as Rasputin and Ma Baker). They do not make specific mention of Christmas. Fred Jay's lyrics have been sung by many artists, first version by Michael Holm in 1974 but most successfully by Johnny Mathis in 1976, whose version was the Christmas number one of that year in the UK. A vedette is the main female artist of a show derived from cabaret and its subcategories of revue, vaudeville, music hall or burlesque. The purpose of the vedette is to entertain and captivate the public. The vedette has to know how to sing, dance and act on stage. Silvana Suárez
Silvana Rosa Suárez Clarence (; 29 September 1958 – 21 October 2022) was an Argentine model and beauty queen who won the Miss World 1978 contest, representing Argentina. The pageant was held in London, United Kingdom. Suárez became the second Argentine to win the title of World Beauty Queen. Biography From the middle class, Suárez's parents were both artists and divorced when she was a teen. She lived then with her mother, a teacher of Fine Arts, and after finishing High School, studied Architecture. ''"Was my mom who insisted that I attend a beauty pageant. Miss Universe 1981, the 30th anniversary of the Miss Universe pageant, was held on 20 July 1981 at the Minskoff Theatre in New York City, United States. Irene Sáez of Venezuela was crowned by Shawn Weatherly of the United States. There were 77 contestants competing for the crown, but Miss Mauritius got homesick and withdrew.
