Manjari (Indian Singer)
Manjari (born 17 April 1986) is an Indian playback singer and Hindustani vocalist. Her first stage performance was with ''Shiva'', the Kolkata - based rock band, when she was in class eight. Career Manjari was introduced into the world of film music by Ilaiyaraaja in the Sathyan Anthikad movie, 'Achuvinte Amma'. She sang two songs in the movie, a duet 'Swasathin Thalam' with Dr. K.J. Yesudas and a solo 'Tamarakuruvikku' in the movie. Since her début, she has worked with the likes of Ramesh Narayan, Ilayaraaja, M. G. Radhakrishnan, Kaithapram Viswanathan, Vidyasagar, M. Jayachandran, Ouseppachan, Mohan Sithara and the late Raveendran Master and Johnson Master. She has also sung for albums such as Balabhaskar's ''Mazhayil Aaro Oral''. The Kerala State Film Awards are the film awards for a motion picture made in Kerala. The awards started in 1969 by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala and since 1998 the awards have been bestowed by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of the Department of Cultural Affairs. The awardees are decided by an independent jury formed by the academy and the Department of Cultural Affairs, Govt. of Kerala. The jury usually consists of eminent personalities from the film field. Ramesh Narayan (born 3 November 1959) is an Indian classical vocalist, composer and music producer who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. He belongs to the Mewati gharana of Hindustani classical music. Narayan began his initial training in Carnatic music and later mastered the classical Hindustani style under the renowned Pandit Jasraj. Karthik (born 7 November 1980) is an Indian playback singer and composer. Karthik started his professional singing career as a backing vocalist and has since been working as a playback singer. ''Shambu'' is a 2004 Indian Malayalam film, directed by KB Madhu. The film stars Vijayakumar, Karthika Mathew, Geetha, Riyaz Khan, Rajan P Dev and Babu Antony in lead roles. The film had musical score by Jassie Gift. Plot Journalist Meera (Karthika Mathew) starts working on a documentary related to the pros and cons of campus politics. Their main topic was a bus fire tragedy which happened 5 years ago, owing to which Sambhu ( Vijayakumar ) and his collegemates were put to jail. Gireesh Puthanchery
Girish Puthenchery (1961–2010) was a noted Malayalam Lyricist, Poet, Scriptwriter and Screenwriter. He was always referred to as the aristocratic lyricist of Malayalam who had a distinctive writing style of his own. He also served as the director of Indian Performance Rights Society Malayalam division (I.P.R.S) and governing council member of the Kerala Kalamandalam and Kerala Lalithakala Academy.
