Manitoba Major Soccer League
The Manitoba Major Soccer League is an adult soccer system based in Manitoba, Canada. MMSL league are both indoor and outdoor. It is sanctioned by the Manitoba Soccer Association, a branch of the Canadian Soccer Association. The highest level of amateur soccer in the province of Manitoba is the MMSL Premier Division. Winners of the MSA Cup are eligible to represent the province and compete for the Challenge Trophy, the highest national amateur cup competition in Canada sanctioned by the CSA. Players come with a variety of playing backgrounds, including high school, college, university, academies, semi-professional, and ex-professionals. Indoor soccer or arena soccer (known internationally as indoor football, fast football, or showball) is five-a-side version of minifootball, derived from association football and adapted to be played in walled hardcourt indoor arena. Challenge Trophy
The Challenge Trophy (french: Trophée Challenge) is a national amateur soccer cup in Canada contested by the champions of individual provincial soccer competitions. It is one of the oldest soccer competitions in Canada, being held since 1913. It is run by the Canadian Soccer Association. The FC Winnipeg Lions (formerly known as Sons of Italy Lions Soccer Club), formed in 1995, is a Canadian soccer club that competes in the Manitoba Major Soccer League.
