Manish Acharya
Manish G. Acharya (14 June 1967 – 4 December 2010) was an Indian film director and actor. Acharya was best known for ''Loins of Punjab Presents'', the film he co-wrote with Anuwab Pal, directed, acted in, and co-produced. Released theatrically to great critical acclaim in 2007 in India and the US, the film ''s''tarred Shabana Azmi, Ayesha Dharkar and Ajay Naidu among others. Manish Acharya's other film credits include a cameo in the 2009 Zoya Akhtar film '' Luck by Chance'' and narration in Nina Paley's animation feature film ''Sita Sings the Blues''. Acharya completed his Undergraduate Studies from Grinnell College in Iowa, USA, with a major in Physics. He then received a Master's degree from Iowa State University in Industrial Relations. Acharya worked in the US corporate world as Head of Marketing at Microsyrategy, and was featured on the cover of Marketing Magazine at the age of 27. Matheran
Matheran is an automobile-free hill station and a municipal council in the Karjat taluka of the Raigad district located in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Matheran is part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, and one of the smallest hill stations in India. It is located in the Western Ghats, at an elevation of around 800 m (2,625 feet) above sea level. It is about 90 km from Mumbai, and 120 km from Pune. This proximity to these urban areas makes it a weekend getaway for many. Matheran, which means "forest on the forehead" (of the mountains) in Marathi, is an eco-sensitive region, declared by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. Dhruvi Acharya
Dhruvi Acharya (born in 1971) is an Indian artist known for her psychologically complex and visually layered paintings. She is based in Mumbai, India. Early life and education Dhruvi Acharya was born in 1971 in India and she was raised in Mumbai. She attended Walsingham House School, a private girls school in Mumbai. Acharya received her undergraduate degree in 1993 in Applied Arts at the Sophia Polytechnic in Mumbai. She went on to receive a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in 1998 from the Hoffberger School of Painting at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, Maryland.
