Manic World Tour
The Manic World Tour was the third headlining concert tour by American singer Halsey, in support of her third studio album, '' Manic'' (2020). The tour started in Madrid, Spain on February 6, 2020, and ended in Manchester, England on March 12, 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic ended the tour abruptly before summer North American and May eastern Asia dates could be played. Originally, Halsey said it would be her last tour for "a very long time". The North American leg was originally scheduled to take place in summer 2020, but due to the pandemic, Halsey later announced that she had rescheduled the North American leg to summer 2021. On January 22, 2021, Halsey announced the remainder of the tour was cancelled, due to continued uncertainty over the pandemic, days before the announcement for her pregnancy. Ashley Nicolette Frangipane ( ; born September 29, 1994), known professionally as Halsey ( ), is an American singer and songwriter. She was born and raised in New Jersey. Gaining attention from self-released music on social media platforms, she was signed by Astralwerks in 2014 and released her debut EP, '' Room 93'', later that year. She released her debut studio album, ''Badlands'', in 2015. The album was later certified Double Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), as were its tracks " Colors" and "Gasoline". In 2016, she was featured on The Chainsmokers' single " Closer", which topped the charts in over 10 countries, and was later certified 14× Platinum by the RIAA. It was released on September 29, 2019, her twenty-fifth birthday, through Capitol Records as the first promotional single from her third studio album, '' Manic'' (2020). Background and composition Written by Halsey, Jasper Sheff and Johnathan Carter Cunnigham, "Clementine" is a "stripped-back track, driven by simple piano tinkling and some subtle clunking for percussion". Halsey released the song on her twenty-fifth birthday. Critical reception Whitney Shoemaker from ''Alternative Press'' wrote that "Halsey strips things down in her raw new track".
