Mandy Bujold
Mandy Marie Brigitte Bujold (born 25 July 1987) is a Canadian former amateur boxer. She won gold medals in the women's flyweight category at the 2011 and 2015 Pan American Games and won a bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. She competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics and competed at the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics following an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Career Bujold was coached by the late Adrian Teodorescu, who had previously coached Lennox Lewis. Bujold has won the Canadian National Championships on 11 occasions. In 2006, she won the Canadian Junior National Championships. Bujold made her first senior international appearance at the 2008 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships. She won a gold medal in the women's flyweight category at the 2011 Pan American Games. She was not selected for the 2012 Summer Olympics. Nicola Adams
Nicola Virginia Adams (born 26 October 1982) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2017 to 2019. She retired with an undefeated record and held the WBO female flyweight title in 2019. As an amateur, she became the first female boxer to become an Olympic champion after winning gold at London 2012, and the first double Olympic champion following a second gold medal at Rio 2016, both in the flyweight division. CKGL (570 AM) is a Canadian radio station, which broadcasts at 570 AM in Kitchener, Ontario. The station currently broadcasts a news/talk format branded on-air as ''CityNews 570''. The station is owned by Rogers Sports & Media, and is an affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays Radio Network. CKGL is also the radio broadcaster for the Kitchener Rangers. History The station was originally launched in 1949 as FM 96.7 CKCR-FM, simulcasting the programming of CKCR. 2008 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships
The 2008 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships was an international women's boxing competition hosted by China from November 22 to 29, 2008 in Ningbo City. It was the 5th championship, which debuted 2001 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, United States. The World Championship was contested in 13 weight disciplines by 218 amateur women boxers from 41 countries, and was conducted in the Ningbo Sports Center. China won four gold, two silver and four bronze medals, while Turkey finished second with two gold and two bronze medals, followed by Canada with a tally of 2-0-1.
