Malka Hans, Punjab
Malka Hans ( ur, ), is a historical town of Punjab in Pakistan. It is located 12 kilometers north of Pakpattan in the Pakpattan District. History Waris Shah, a poet from the Punjab, came here from his native village Jandiala Sher Khan and composed the classic epic ''Heer'' in 1766. There is a mosque related to the poet as well as his composition. Molvi Sh. Abdullah who wrote ''BaaraaN Anwaa'', a famous Punjabi book on fiqh, also belonged to Malka Hans. He came to Lahore and lived in Sheran Wali Gali inside Lohari Darvaza, where Mian Muhammad Bakhsh stayed for three months. Mian Muhammad Bakhsh Ji wrote 64 couplets about him at the end of his famous Punjabi Sufi poetry book ''Saiful Maluk''. Jandiala Sher Khan
Jandiala Sherkhan, or Jandiala Sher Khan ( ur, ), is a town of Sheikhupura District in the Punjab (Pakistan), Punjab, Pakistan. It is part of Sheikhupura Tehsil. and is located at 31°49'15N 73°55'10E. The town is notable for being the birthplace of famous poet Waris Shah, known as the Punjabi Shakespeare, and contains his Mausoleum. Jandiala Sher khan was an important provincial town in the Mughal empire. Although the town was located on a floodplain and there were no nearby sources of water, requiring local residents to dig wells to irrigate their crops. During the reign of Emperor Akbar, a man of means known as Sher Khan settled here. Heeding the advice of a local dervish named Syed Ghaznavi, Sher Khan built a monumental step-well (known as a baoli) to provide easier access to the water table. Mian Muhammad Bakhsh
Mīān Muhammad Bakhsh (میاں محمد بخش) was a Punjabi Muslim Sufi and poet. Born in the city of Mirpur to a Gujjar family of Paswal tribe, he is renowned as a great poet and Sufi scholar by the people of Punjab and Azad Kashmir. Writing some 18 different books during his lifetime of 77 years, Muhammad Baksh is especially remembered for his romantic epic Saiful Maluk and the romantic tragedy Mirza Sahiban. Most of his work is in Punjabi language , with the exception of the book Yari, written in Farsi. Waris Shah
Waris Shah ( pa, ; ; 1722–1798) was a Punjabi Sufi poet of the Chishti order, known for his contribution to Punjabi literature. He is primarily known as the author of ''Heer Ranjha'' . Background Waris Shah was born in Jandiala Sher Khan, Punjab, present-day Pakistan into a reputed Sayyid family and was a descendant of Sayyid Muhammad Al-Makki through his son Sayyid Badruddin. His father's name was Gulsher Shah and mother's name was Kamal Banu. Waris's parents are said to have died when he was young. Waris spent years in search of the perfect spiritual guide. Waris Shah acknowledged himself to be a disciple of an ustad from Kasur, namely Hafiz Ghulam Murtaza from whom he received his education.
