Maksim Kovshov
Maksim Kovshov (born 13 August 1991 in Kyiv, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian dressage rider. He represented Ukraine at the 2014 World Equestrian Games, where he finished 19th with Ukrainian team in the team dressage and 88th in the individual dressage competitions. In 2015, Kovshov competed at the European Championships in Aachen, where he placed 58th in the individual and 16th in the team competition. Two years later, in Gothenburg, he achieved his career-best championship results, finishing 56th in the individual competition and helping the Ukrainian team to the 15th-place result. Dressage ( or ; a French term, most commonly translated to mean "training") is a form of horse riding performed in exhibition and competition, as well as an art sometimes pursued solely for the sake of mastery. 2014 FEI World Equestrian Games
The 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games were held in the region of Normandy, France. It was the seventh edition of the Games, which are held every four years and run by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI). 2015 European Dressage Championships
The 2015 European Dressage Championships was held between August 12 and August 16, 2015 in Aachen, Germany. It formed part of the 2015 FEI European Championships; other disciplines included were jumping, reining and vaulting. It also served as a 2016 Olympics qualifier with team quotas in dressage awarded to the best three teams not already qualified nations. The 2015 event was the 27th edition of the European Dressage Championships. Yuri Aleksandrovich Kovshov (russian: Юрий Александрович Ковшов; born 5 September 1951) is a former Ukrainian Soviet equestrian and Olympic champion. He was born in Kushka, Turkmen SSR, and was affiliated with VDFSO Kiev. He won a gold medal in team dressage at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, and received a silver medal in individual dressage.
