Maja Petrić
Maja Petrić is a contemporary new media artist who works primarily in interactive art that combines light, sound and cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, computer vision, and robotics to expand the multi-sensory apparatus through which art can be experience. She was born in 1981 in Zagreb, Croatia. She lives and works in Madrid, Seattle, New York City, and Zagreb. She received a PhD in new media art from the University of Washington Center for Digital Arts and Experimental Media and Masters from the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP). New media art includes artworks designed and produced by means of electronic media technologies, comprising virtual art, computer graphics, computer animation, digital art, interactive art, sound art, Internet art, video games, robotics, 3D printing, and cyborg art. The term defines itself by the thereby created artwork, which differentiates itself from that deriving from conventional visual arts (i.e. architecture, painting, sculpture, etc.). Gabriel Teodros
Gabriel Teodros (born 1981), is a hip hop artist and a member of the groups Abyssinian Creole and CopperWire. He was raised on Beacon Hill, Seattle, Washington. Teodros' music often features socially conscious themes, and he was a catalyst in the surge of dynamic underground rap acts from the Pacific Northwest during the first decade of the 2000s. Early life Teodros was born and raised in Seattle, Washington to an Ethiopian mother and a father of Scottish, Irish and Native American descent. Ari Glass
Ari Glass (born 1989) is an American painter, designer and musician. Biography Glass grew up in the Rainier Valley, Seattle. Glass attended art classes at Franklin High School and briefly studied graphic design at Seattle Central College, but otherwise has no formal artistic training. Career Glass habitually uses gold paint in his works, which are often described as being inspired by fictional concepts of royalty (kings, queens and kingdoms). As well as working in the visual arts, he has also created a music EP, designed a clothing line (called Reverie) and was involved with the Graffiti Village Tour. Interactive art is a form of art that involves the spectator in a way that allows the art to achieve its purpose. Some interactive art installations achieve this by letting the observer walk through, over or around them; others ask the artist or the spectators to become part of the artwork in some way.
