Main Line Subdivision
The Main Line Subdivision is a railroad line owned by CSX Transportation in the U.S. states of Kentucky and Tennessee. The line runs from Louisville, Kentucky, to Nashville, Tennessee, for a total of . At its north end the line continues south from the Louisville Terminal Subdivision and at its south end the line continues south as the Nashville Terminal Subdivision. The Main Line Subdivision was originally built as the namesake line of the Louisville and Nashville Railroad. Through various mergers, it passed through the Family Lines System, Seaboard System, and finally to CSX. Railroad
Rail transport (also known as train transport) is a means of transport that transfers passengers and goods on wheeled vehicles running on rails, which are incorporated in tracks. The Nashville Terminal Subdivision is a railroad line owned by CSX Transportation in the U.S. state of Tennessee. The Subdivision is broken up into five sections, all in Nashville, Tennessee. Sections Northern part The northern part of the Terminal is in Madison, Tennessee, at milepost 000/0BA 174 on the southern end of the Ex-L&N Main Line Subdivision at Monfort. Disptach for the Mainline Sub is known as "LD" which is part of the Cincinnati Division. From here in Madison begins the double track that stays for another 22 miles south to Brentwood, Tennessee. The Louisville and Nashville Railroad , commonly called the L&N, was a Class I railroad that operated freight and passenger services in the southeast United States.
