Maggie (2022 TV Series)
''Maggie'' is an American television sitcom created by Justin Adler and Maggie Mull, based on the short film of the same name by Tim Curcio. It premiered on Hulu on July 6, 2022. In September 2022, the series was cancelled after one season. The series was removed from Hulu on May 26, 2023. Premise ''Maggie'' tells the story of a psychic who has visions of the future. As a psychic, she sees the fate of her friends, parents, clients and random strangers on the street, but when she suddenly sees a glimpse of her own future, she must start living in her own present. Sitcom
A sitcom, a portmanteau of situation comedy, or situational comedy, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who mostly carry over from episode to episode. Sitcoms can be contrasted with sketch comedy, where a troupe may use new characters in each sketch, and stand-up comedy, where a comedian tells jokes and stories to an audience. Sitcoms originated in radio, but today are found mostly on television as one of its dominant narrative forms. A situation comedy television program may be recorded in front of a studio audience, depending on the program's production format. The effect of a live studio audience can be imitated or enhanced by the use of a laugh track. Lee Shallat Chemel (born June 15, 1943, in Los Angeles, California), sometimes credited as Lee Shallat, is an American film and television director and television producer. She began her professional directorial career at the South Coast Repertory theatre in Costa Mesa, California, while working at the same time as the head of the theatre's conservatory program. She also directed at the ShakespeareSummerfest Orange County (originally the Grove Shakespeare Festival in Garden Grove, California and the Matrix Theatre in Hollywood. Metacritic is a website that review aggregator, aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations.
