Madeinusa
''Madeinusa'' is a 2005 Peruvian-Spanish drama film directed by Claudia Llosa. Plot Set in the fictional small and isolated indigenous village of Manayaycuna ("the town no one can enter" in Quechua) in the Peruvian Andes, the story covers three days in the lives of the villagers and a stranger from Lima. The stranger, Salvador (Carlos de la Torre), is sent by a mining company to evaluate the geology of the area, but must stay in Manyaycuna over the weekend until travel can be provided. Salvador appears to be unwelcome he has arrived at the beginning of ''Tiempo Santo'' ("Holy Time"), a syncretic religious festival spanning Good Friday and Easter Sunday, and is sequestered in a barn by the town's mayor, Cayo. The villagers of Manayaycuna believe that during Holy Time, God, symbolized by an effigy of Christ, is dead and, therefore, nothing is a sin. Claudia Llosa
Claudia Llosa Bueno (born 15 November 1976) is a Peruvian film director, writer, producer, and author. She is recognized for her Academy-Award-nominated film ''The Milk of Sorrow''. Early life Claudia Llosa was born on November 15, 1976 in Lima, Peru. Her mother Patricia Bueno Risso is an artist from Italy and her father Alejandro Llosa Garcia worked in the engineering field. Her siblings are Patricia Llosa and Andrea Llosa. She is the niece of the Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa and the film director Luis Llosa. She studied at Newton Collegein Lima. Her post-secondary studies were spent majoring in Film Direction at the University of Lima. Llosa moved from Peru to Madrid in the late 1990ies. Magaly Solier Romero (born 11 June 1986) is a Peruvian actress and singer. Magaly Solier Romero was born on 11 June 1986 in to a Quechua family, the province of Huanta, in the region of Ayacucho in Peru. She speaks the indigenous language of Quechua, as well as Spanish. Solier has publicly spoken about the importance of supporting indigenous language, traditions, and culture. In 2003, she won the Festival de la Canción Ayacuchana with her singing. A year later, she made her debut as an actress in the film Madeinusa. In June 2017, Solier was declared an ''Artist of Peace'' by UNESCO in Paris, France.
