Maayi (2000 Film)
''Maayi'' is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language action drama film written and directed by Surya Prakash, starring Sarathkumar and Meena, while Vadivelu, Vijayakumar, Sabitha Anand, Suvalakshmi, Rajan P. Dev, and Anand play supporting roles. The film was a hit at the box office, and Vadivelu's comedy performance was critically acclaimed. Surya Prakash (director)
Surya Prakash is an Indian film director who has worked on Tamil and Telugu language films. He made his directorial debut with ''Manikkam'' (1996), before making the action films, ''Maayi'' (2000) and '' Diwan'' (2003). Career Surya Prakash began his career by directing ''Manikkam'' (1996) featuring Rajkiran, before working on the unreleased ''Pen Ondru Kanden'' featuring Prabhu in the lead role during 1998. S. Manivannan Rajagopal (31 July 1953 – 15 June 2013), better known by his mononym Manivannan, was an Indian film director, actor and activist who worked mainly in Tamil cinema and also worked in a few Telugu & Malayalam films. In a career spanning three decades, he went from being a story and dialogue writer for director Bharathiraja from 1980–82 to a successful director who thrived in experimenting with different genres, before becoming an actor.
