Maarten Heijmans
Maarten Heijmans (born 24 December 1983 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch Emmy-winning actor. Career In 2007 he graduated from the Amsterdamse Toneelschool & Kleinkunstacademie (Amsterdam Theatre School & Kleinkunst Academy) where he studied Drama for four years. Since his graduation, Maarten has performed in several theatre plays and television shows. In 2007 he and his former classmate Ian Bok made their own theatre-piece called De Huilende Kers (The Crying Cherry). That year they won the audience award at the Its Festival (International Theatreschool Festival). In 2008 they won the Dioraphte Fringe Award at the Amsterdam Fringe Festival. In summer 2009, De Huilende Kers performed at the Prague Fringe Festival as well as the Dublin Fringe Festival. Maarten is also a member of Dutch theatre-group, Circus Treurdier (which would translate roughly as "Circus of the sad animals"), a group of young performers who create and perform their own theatre shows. Herman Heijermans
Herman Heijermans (3 December 1864 – 22 November 1924), was a Dutch writer. Heijermans was born in Rotterdam, into a liberal Jewish family, the fifth of the 11 children of Herman and Matilda (Moses) Spiers. Painter Marie Heijermans was his sister. In the ''Algemeen Handelsblad'' daily, he published a series of sketches of Jewish family life under the pseudonym of Samuel Falkland, which were collected in volume form. His novels and tales include ''Trinette'' (1892), ''Fles'' (1893), ''Kamertjeszonde'' (2 vols, 1896), ''Interieurs'' (1897), ''Diamantstad'' (2 vols, 1903). ''Van der Valk'' is a British television crime drama series that premiered in 2020, adapted from the eponymous series of crime thriller novels by Nicolas Freeling. Tita Tovenaar or TiTa Tovenaar (translation: ''Tita the wizard'') is a Dutch children's television series, which was produced by the Nederlandse Omroep Stichting and ran between 1972 and 1974. At the time it was popular enough to inspire audio plays and a comic strip. ''Tita Tovenaar'' remained popular in repeats and was adapted into a 2005 stage musical. S1NGLE is a Dutch gag-a-day comic series, created in 2000 by Hanco Kolk and Peter de Wit. It centers on three women and their endless endeavours to find the right male partner. The popularity of the series inspired a TV sitcom series of the same name. Concept ''S1NGLE'' is about three young women who work in a hospital and who often go on dates to find the perfect partner. A lot of comedy is provided by the girls' distinctive personalities, the type of men they meet and sexual situations. ''Het Klokhuis'' (Dutch for "The Applecore") is a daily documentary show for primary school children and young teenagers produced by ntr of the Netherlands. It first aired in 1988. It is broadcast every weekday at 18:25 on NPO 3 and lasts about 15 minutes. The subjects vary widely. Quite often, factories are visited, where a complete production process is explained. The serious parts are interspersed with sketches, which sometimes have aspects that only adults would understand, whilst still remaining funny for children. Arthur Valentijn Japin (born 26 July 1956 in Haarlem) is a Dutch novelist. Biography His parents were Bert Japin, a teacher and writer of detective novels, and Annie Japin-van Arnhem. After a difficult childhood—his father killed himself when Arthur was twelve years old—Japin entered the Kleinkunstacademie in Amsterdam, where he trained as an actor.
