Maak Jou Drome Waar
Maak Jou Drome Waar (Afrikaans for Make Your Dreams Come True) is a bilingual pop album by South African cricketer AB de Villiers and singer-songwriter Ampie du Preez and was released in South Africa on 2 August 2010. Nine of the 14 tracks on the album are in Afrikaans and five are in English. The tracks consist mainly of power ballads with a "follow-your-dreams" theme and of love songs. The participating artists are signed to the Sony BMG label. Single releases "Maak Jou Drome Waar" was the debut single that was pre-released in promotion of the album. It came as a cooperation with his friend Ampie du Preez. An accompanying music video of the song was also launched in April 2010. The popular music video also featured Titans cricketer Faf du Plessis. There were two more singles from the album: "Forgiveness" featuring rap artist and singer Snotkop and the third was "Deel Van My". AB De Villiers
Abraham Benjamin de Villiers (born 17 February 1984) is a former South African international cricketer. AB de Villiers was named as the ICC ODI Player of the Year three times during his 15-year international career and was one of the five Wisden cricketers of the decade at the end of 2019. Ampie Du Preez
Ampie Du Preez (born c. 1982) is a South African singer-songwriter. In 2010 he collaborated with South African cricketer AB de Villiers on their debut album, ''Maak Jou Drome Waar (Make Your Dreams Come True)''. Ampie previously worked with South African group 'n Man Soos Jan. He has also done songwriting for South African artist Elizma Theron. He penned the title track to her 2009 album "Ek Soek Jou." He released his first album entitled "Definitely Maybe" when he was in grade 11. He formed a duet with former Eden member Sean Else called 34 Grade Suid. They released their first album "Staan Vas". Music videos were released for both the single "Val Sonder Jou" (in early March 2011) and for the title track in July 2011. He released his solo album entitled "S.O.S." in April 2012. Afrikaans (, ) is a West Germanic language that evolved in the Dutch Cape Colony from the Dutch vernacular of Holland proper (i.e., the Hollandic dialect) used by Dutch, French, and German settlers and their enslaved people. Francois "Faf" du Plessis ( ; born 13 July 1984) is a South African professional cricketer and former captain of the South Africa national cricket team. He is considered one of the greatest fielders of all time and is among the best all-format batsmen of his era. He was named as the South African Cricketer of the Year in 2019. He is the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. He is a right-handed batsman and part-time leg spin bowler. Snotkop
Francois Henning (born December 22, 1974), better known by his stage name Snotkop (, and previously known as Lekgoa , is a South African people, South African singer and rapper of Afrikaans. He started his music career at age 15 preparing demo CDs, and in the late 1990s adopted the stage name Lekgoa ("white guy" in Sotho) singing in the South African kwaito genre of music. In this period, he was signed to Gallo record label, releasing two albums; ''Basetsana'' in 1999 and ''Ngamla Yoba'' in 2002. In 2005 he adopted the name Snotkop initially as part of a 4-piece boy band, and shortly later a solo act signing with Next Music-record label, and launched his self-titled 2005 debut album ''Snotkop'' followed by ''So Damn Sexy'' in 2008 and ''Francois Henning Was Hier'' in 2009.
