MAN NL262
MAN NL262 (A27) is a low-floor single-decker bus made by MAN from 1992 to 1998. Although predominantly produced for Hong Kong in right-hand drive operated by Citybus, some were made in left-hand drive for the mainland European market, it was still built within the similar MAN NL202. It was succeeded by the MAN Lion's City. Operations Hong Kong Citybus Citybus was the only operator to acquire new NL262s in Hong Kong. In all 80 NL262s in total were ordered as 1501–1580. MAN NL202
The MAN NL202 was a low floor single-decker bus built by MAN Nutzfahrzeuge from the late 1980s until 1992. It is derived from the VöV SL-II bus standard. Especially sold in Europe, in particular in Germany, it was replaced by MAN NL262. It was additionally sold in South Australia, in diesel and Compressed natural gas variants, the latter of which continues to be used to this day in significant numbers. It has used a fully low floor configuration inside the bus with seats mounted on platforms similar to the MAN NL262 and the Mercedes-Benz O405N. The MAN Lion's City is a range of low-floor and low-entry public buses built by German truck and bus manufacturer MAN Truck & Bus (previously MAN Nutzfahrzeuge) since 1996 primarily for the European market, but is also available in chassis-only variants worldwide. The name ''Lion's City'' has been used since 2006, when MAN's public bus models which had been marketed separately were gathered into one range, when also most models received a facelift. The New Lantao Bus Company (1973) Limited, commonly known as New Lantao Bus or NLB, is a franchised bus company operating in Hong Kong. It mainly operates bus routes on Lantau Island. History NLB was formed in 1973 through the merger of three bus companies operated by residents of Lantau Island, and became the third franchised bus company on 1 April 1974. In January 1992, NLB became a subsidiary of Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings. NLB's franchise was extended on 1 April 1997 to run until 31 March 2007. It was extended again until 1 March 2017.
