Mühringen is a district of Horb am Neckar. The village is located approximately from the main town and stretches from the valley of the Eyach (Neckar), Eyach at an altitude of above sea level up to the hill of Castle Hohenmühringen. Mühringen has about 1,000 inhabitants. There is a railway station of the Hohenzollerische Landesbahn in the valley; Mühringen is a station of a German Camino de Santiago. Horb Am Neckar
Horb am Neckar is a town in the southwest of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is located on the Neckar river, between Offenburg to the west (about away) and Tübingen to the east (about away). It has around 25,000 inhabitants, of whom about 6,000 live in the main town of Horb, and the remainder in 18 associated villages and districts which form part of the same municipality. If the entire municipality is counted, it is the largest town in the District of Freudenstadt. Since 1 January 1981 Horb am Neckar has had the status of a ''Große Kreisstadt'', serving as a mid-sized center within the Northern Black Forest Region of the Karlsruhe Administrative Region. Maximilian Berlitz
Maximilian Delphinius Berlitz (or Maximilien Berlitz, born David Berlizheimer; April 14, 1852 – April 6, 1921) was a linguist and the founder of the Berlitz Language Schools, the first of which he established in 1878 in Providence, Rhode Island. Life and career Born David Berlizheimer to Jewish parents in Mühringen, Kingdom of Württemberg, Germany, he and his sister were soon orphaned, and he grew up in a family of educators in the Black Forest. Berlitz was required by law to serve as an apprentice; he chose to work for a watchmaker for three years. He later relocated to France and then to Providence, Rhode Island, United States in 1872. His first employment was as a teacher of French and German at Warner Polytechnic College, of which he assumed control in 1878 when the owner of the school, Mr. Warner, disappeared with all the prepaid tuition money. Eyach (Neckar)
Eyach is a river of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It flows for 50 kilometres. It is a right tributary of the Neckar. It passes through Balingen and Haigerloch, and flows into the Neckar near Starzach. Geography History The Eyach has its source north of Pfeffingen (a district of Albstadt) at an altitude of 833 metres, only a few hundred metres from the European watershed and a tributary of the Danube, the Schmiecha, which has its source there. At Eyach at a height of 372 m from the right it flows into the Neckar.
